About Our Client

Our client is wine and spirits division of the French luxury group that markets its brands at select hotels, restaurants, retail outlets and clubs across the country. Apart from super-premium wines they also market premium vodkas, cognacs and champagnes in the country.They are looking to expand their Sales presence in Southern India & are looking for a senior distribution profile from alco beverage sector to be a part of growth story

Job Description

Reporting to the Director- Sales, the Regional Sales Manager- South will be responsible for building distribution channels and trade marketing portfolio for southern India. The incumbent will ensure implementation of the sales targets in the region on a brand wise, customer wise & month wise basis as well as the proper availability and merchandising on a regular basis.

Main Accountabilities

- Finalize distributor wise sell in and brand wise/ customer wise depletion targets in their respective region with Sales Director

- Achieve sales objectives as discussed and agreed upon with Sales Director on a monthly wise, customer wise and brand wise basis.

- Ensure proper coverage of the market on a regular basis as per agreed PJP.

- Manage the stock level at distributor point

- Ensure distributors outstanding under agreed norms

- Ensure close working with distributor sales teams.

- Ensure all market commitments are fulfilled in a timely manner.

- Proper and regular reporting on a weekly basis to the Sales Director.

- Ensure regular feedback on competitive activity in the market place.

- Constantly seek opportunities to develop new customers and channels.

- Negotiate terms and conditions with new accounts and prepare proposal for management’s review

- Keep a track of customer wise sales on a monthly basis for all brands.

- Ensure proper follow up and implementation of all promotion programs.

- Maintain and grow relationships with all accounts in the area.

The Successful Applicant

The ideal candidate possesses a post graduate qualification in Business management from a well reputed Institution as well as at least 7-8 years experience, ideally within Sales management in the Alcoholic Beverages Sector. Over the course of their experience they have built a solid expertise within distribution and channel management in Southern India. Furthermore, the candidate should have demonstrated a strong track record of progression and success in their prior roles. As the candidate will be responsible for setting up the sales structure, we are ideally looking for entrepreneurial individuals with strong potential to lead and grow teams as well as the ability to bring a strategic focus to this region.
