Job overview :
- The product owner is responsible for creating and implementing transactional (e.g., lead generation) and/or e-commerce products for the brands Luxury and Lifestyle vertical, The position shall create and support the implementation of consumer e-commerce businesses for Brand luxury vertical that meet both our user and client demand as well as create significant value for the company.
- The candidate needs to be skilled in digital business models relevant to content-driven commerce. They are experienced in the implementation and continuous management of innovation projects centered around consumer needs.
Main responsibilities :
Develop the transactional & digital commerce strategy :
- Developing and coordinating a consumer commerce concept for a variety of BurdaLuxury brands (relating to e-commerce, affiliate and transactional models as well as deals), with a strong advisory role regarding overall digital business development
- Developing a full e-commerce-related offering including user-journey, analytics and UI/UX testing with the help of our development team
- Implementing appropriate (3rd) party tools to enable our digital products to be fully e-commerce ready
- Creating e-commerce campaigns in partnership with our sales teams
- Collaborating with the editorial and web development teams to optimize the on-site user journey, specifically regarding commerce-related actions (e.g., optimised click-out-ratios within our content)
- Defining analytics stack to generate actionable data insights on our users, specifically for the (re-)targeting of potential customers
- Developing and defining KPIs for a successful e-commerce business and ensuring that they are met within the group
Implement new digital business models :
- Coordinating the implementation of our consumer e-commerce and transactions concept within the region
- Steering the distribution of commerce-oriented content via all digital channels (e.g., web, social etc.)
- Interacting with website desk teams of 30+ staff (performance, social media management etc.) to push the new digital products
- Analysing sales to share best practice examples within the region
- A/B-testing of campaigns to constantly improve sales
- Improving our database and knowledge about our users and customers
Candidate Profile :
General :
- Strong experience working in digital e-commerce related fields of at least seven years
- Educational background, preferably in Computer Science, Information Systems, Marketing, Business
- Business proficiency of English
Qualifications :
- Broad digital understanding (digital ecosystems, technology and online marketing)
- Strong analytical skills to make data-based decisions
- Good knowledge of the common analytical tools and testing
- Experience in product management and UX/UI design
- Basic knowledge of web development is an advantage
- Good understanding of Southeast Asian e-commerce markets, luxury sector is a plus
- Experience in working with cross-functional teams across geographic locations
- Can-do attitude, team player, strong communication skills, entrepreneurial drive
