Regional Manager Sales (South/West/East)
Role : Regional Manager -General Trade (South / East / West )
Reporting to : Senior Vice President
Location : Bangalore/Kolkata/Mumbai
Primary Responsibilities (Including but not limited to):
- Lead Regional Sales for General trade- Clear focus on Traditional Channels to build Distribution, Visibility and volumes.
- Manage, Mentor and lead Sales Teams and guide them on Sales Planning & People management.
- Establish regional coverage, Distribution and Display objectives in line with Business Plan and achieve turnover targets, profit targets and market share targets
- Generating and enhancing regional channel partner distribution, ensuring retention of existing channel partners and establishing business with the new ones..
- Building and maintaining healthy business relations with major clientele, ensuring maximum customer satisfaction by achieving performance parameters, delivery & quality norms. Should be well connected in the S&D (Sales & Distribution) ecosystem of the FMCG industry and should be able to obtain current knowledge of market and competitor practices across own region.
- Good knowledge of Sales Commercials, Trade Margins and BTL activities and ensure a strong ROI for all the spends and investments. Have the ability to customize and contextualise these spends at a regional level given local requirements.
- Touring the sales territory regularly, talking to channel partners, identifying, or resolving urgent issues.
- Periodic review on the Progress of Business - Weekly, Monthly, Quarterly, Yearly and proactively planning for quarterly and yearly business objectives.
- Checking inventory of products, ensuring minimum inventory levels to be maintained across the channel.
- Overseeing SKU wise indenting for the stock based on sales, trends and objectives.
- Closely working with Product and Marketing team for timely execution of new product launches and on ground activations.
- Strong on sales data analytics, knowledgeable on DMS (Distributor Management Systems), SFA (Sales Force Automation), SAP etc. Should be aware of contemporary practices on Digital Sales Transformation for future
Eligibility:
- MBA with 10-15 years' experience in FMCG /Personal Care/ Beauty Cosmetics Industry
- Regional Experience in GT (General Trade)
- Well Networked with leading regional distributors
- Open to travel
- An excellent manager: able to recruit and retain people in the team and get the work done effectively
- Good with data/numbers & Tech savvy
