The client is an MNC based out of South Africa and has its primary business in gift card solutions. It has a very strong presence pan India in General Trade, Modern Trade and e-commerce as well. Their partner businesses include some of the largest names in technology and consumer electronics, as well as across travel, retail, hospitality and other strong players in the market.
Their general trade business is a major segment of their total business in India, and they have a presence across more than 15,000 general trade touch points, headed by an industry stalwart in consumer durables. Currently, they are looking for a Regional Manager to look after the North and South businesses - 2 separate roles.
Reporting in to the Head of General Trade, this role involves :
- Looking after the regions of North / South for their business, and growing some of the key distributors for the region
- Building relationships with key stakeholders across dealers, distributors and retailers in GT
- Manage a team of sales managers to establish common goals in sales and profitability
- Create a strategy to build new business lines and penetrate newer industries with the product
For this role, you MUST :
- Have 8+ years of experience in general trade in a consumer electronics organization
- Deal with a large scale and network of dealers and distributors in north and south India
- Be very familiar and able to set up a GT business from the ground up
