Regional Manager - Claims

Position Summary
The Regional Claims Head is responsible for handling claims across multiple regions. The role would focus on developing and enhancing a claims reporting structure and driving claims prevention, mitigation. This position is also responsible for educating and training frontline staff in the prevention, mitigation and handling of claims with particular attention to responsiveness, speed of service delivery, quality of service rendered while attending to our customers in new and innovative ways.
Job Responsibilities
Key Responsibilities
- Lodging and updating the global claims repository and TT Club notification
- Post Mortem Assessment and Evaluation
- IPS reimbursement requests to Centre
- In charge of developing and implementing a claims prevention framework vis-a-vis the global claims methodology.
- In charge of implementing regional claims handling policies vis-a-vis the global claims methodology
- In charge of implementing necessary tools that will enable front line staff (Customer Responsible) to deal and handle claims on a first contact basis
- In charge of bringing transparency and accountability to countries in respect of claims, Arbitration/Liasoning with Customers, Vendors, TT Club and CLIENT offices
- Responsible for making the correct and necessary accruals in cooperation with local Finance departments.
Other Responsibilities
- Training and education of LSS staff
- In charge of building long lasting competencies across countries
- Driving a claims prevention awareness throughout the region
Skills Required
Education:
- LLB / LLM
Experience:
- Minimum 8 years of experience from the relevant industry
- Understanding of the different maritime laws governing our business (global and local legislation)
Language:
- The position requires excellent English in written and verbal communication skills
Others:
- Good understanding of core business aspects
- Commercial and execution mindset
- Strong knowledge of statutory requirements applying to the company
- Passion and drive to successfully develop and implement new claims management structures and guidelines
- A systematic approach to his/her work, and who has a strong will to work across regions
