Our client is looking for a business development professional who is excited about consultative selling of supply chain solutions to traders, retailers, brands and importers backed by a modern supply chain management platform and high quality, accurate operations capability. Job requires people who are excited by problem-related to supply chain and order fulfilment and can work with client to structure the right solution.
Location: Multiple positions based out of Delhi, Bangalore and Mumbai
Responsibilities:
- Identify and pursue new clients for warehousing and order fulfillment services managed either out of client warehouses using our processes, technology and people or from Client's plug and play warehouses
- Manage the sales cycle from the lead generation to post-closing stage to ensure all customer requirements are well understood and responded to taking into consideration the capabilities offered by the company
- Work with the solution design team in developing and proposing robust supply chain solution and value proposition for prospective clients
- Proactively engage with the operations team to ensure all contractual requirements are well understood and ensure smooth on-boarding and execution of the contractual requirements
- Deliver agreed revenue objectives on a monthly, quarterly and annual basis
- Provide weekly and monthly reports, data, research and market intelligence to the management highlighting business performance, competitive landscape and recommendations for increasing revenue
- Review and track progress against revenue and targets; analyze sales/ revenue reports; recommend and propose changes to existing plans and implementing approved changes,
- Proactively monitor and assess competitor initiatives; take tactical actions to counter, protect and build the company's -position and strong brand equity,
- Work closely with other internal departments and stakeholders through regular meetings to ensure client/ contractual needs and expectations are communicated to achieve positive results.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience :
- Bachelor or Master's degree in related field or MBA
- 7 - 15 years of applicable business development and/or operational experience from an integrated Logistics service provider or supply chain operations for large apparel, FMCG, retail
- Experience should include at least 5 years- experience in retail supply chain
- Demonstrated knowledge of Supply Chain Planning, Processes Analysis: Procurement, Warehousing, Customer Order Management, Transportation
Skills:
- Problem Solving: Ability to understand clients' problem areas and map with evolving capability matrix of the Company
- Relationship Management: Strong relationship building at all levels, client management, presentation and negotiating skills
Project Management: Detail oriented with strong planning, organizational, project management and analytical skills with focus on using data to solve real world problems
Communication: Fluent in written and spoken English. Strong articulation
Presentation Skills: Ability to clearly present the solution or the problem with or without using tool like MS Word, MS-Powerpoint
