Purpose of role: The Regional Manager Indirect Sales leads the Southern region (India B2C Sales) to deliver the sales strategy and performance targets for all indirect sales channels. The role is accountable for delivery of all indirect sales performance targets across the region including Volume, GM, Overdue. He/ She is also responsible for building the distributor and sales capability across his/her team. Key Results/ Accountabilities expected from role Roles &amp; Responsibilities: This position is responsible for the management of the B2C sales with the aim of maximizing contribution to the business. Key responsibilities include: - Lead the strategic agenda for Retail channels in line approved Growth Strategy . - Accountability for business goals (i.e. achievement of the volume, value, GM, cost and Net Contribution) targets for the retail business in the region. - Inspire and energize people to deliver business performance by implementing the key elements of the people agenda including Talent &amp; Performance Management, Capability Development and Strategic Resourcing - Lead the development and embedding of the best-in-class Distributor Management processes and capability across the region by continuously benchmarking our policies and processes with the industry. - Drive execution excellence in the distribution of products to the retail channel. - Implementing key initiatives as per the strategy, like leading the charge in personal mobility, driving premiumization and creating access to new markets/ geographies. - Ensure Distributor engagement and support to deliver business goals across channels Key challenges faced on the role - Business environment - delivery of stretch business goals in a very competitive, diverse market environment - Building a culture of safety and compliance across diverse geographies and levels in the organization - Retaining and developing talent in a vibrant employment market - Ramping up capability development in an environment of rapid change. - Ensuring execution excellence in the marketplace - Instilling passion and conviction in the team to demonstrate value, deepen relationships with the customers - Ensuring a balanced delivery of business objectives and customer advocacy The job holder will manage a team who are accountable for the relationship management with the Distributors. Experience &amp; Expertise :&nbsp; - An University Graduate (Engineering/ Technical with MBA qualifications would be desirable) - Experience of 12-15 years in Sales and Marketing in leadership roles, preferably across geographies Strong people management and leadership experience is essential - Good understanding and previous experience of handling distributor business through varied business cycles and experience of turnaround/ change would be highly desirable
