Roles and Responsibilities
Assistant Manager - Logistics & Warehousing/ RLM is responsible for the management of the physical logistics flows: transportation operation, warehousing (from tendering to operational excellence. Currently all the CFA Management operations are outsourced
Main Duties and Functions
- Responsible of the management of all FG physical flows from CFAs (8 to 10) to Distributors (800+)
- Define/implement the distribution strategy: in sourcing or outsourcing, number and location of warehouses, transportation means, distribution schemes
- Manage and optimise the global distribution costs: co-negotiation with suppliers (in relation with SSD), design and implementation of continuous improvement programs and Co-logistics opportunities
- Manage transportation from CFA to Distributor & ensure Lead time adherence
- Transport execution & management of relationships with transport suppliers
Manage inventory/products:
- CFA / Warehouse management, Warehouses organisation and productivity, Resources management /development
- Entire Order to Cash Cycle, Customer Service
- Inventory Accuracy, FIFO, Service level agreements with Manufacturing / Central WH, FG Availability @ CFAs vs Forecast, Deployment Plan Execution for Inter-CFA Transfers (when needed)
- If relevant: management of relationships with Third party logistics suppliers: Contract definition (with purchasing), Contract follow up (KPIs, performance animation)
Experience / Skills Needed
- Experience in FMCG / Food / Consumer Industry with Functional Knowledge of Warehouse Operation, Secondary Distribution & Transportation
- Strong Individual who can cut-across cross-functional teams & make an impact
- Self-Starter & able to work independently
- Customer Oriented / Result Oriented
- Good Relationship Management
- Strong orientation towards Compliance, EHS, QFS
