Job Description - Regional Manager
COMPANY -
India's best learning app that provides personalized learning for students studying for boards, Olympiads and various engineering and medical competitive exams. Enables students to study comprehensively and perform at their best in CBSE, ICSE, State Boards along with JEE, NEET and other competitive exams. Was founded in 2013 and is backed by Saif Partners, Helion Ventures and Fidelity Growth Partners (Eight Road Ventures).
Based out of Mumbai, it currently caters to 20L+ registered students in classes 5-12, who are taking advantage of its deep-structured content and powerful adaptive algorithms. It has experienced phenomenal top line growth (400% over the last year) at a significant contribution margin, making it one of the few sustainable start-ups in the Indian ecosystem.
The company has sales offices in 15 cities from where students can get access to further counselling assistance. The aim is to double the city presence by the end of 2017.
ROLE
We are looking for Regional Managers with the following qualities:
- Established background in successfully managing P&L of complex operations
- Excellent execution/people management skills
- Ability to deal with a fast-paced environment
- Must be competent in building/managing a high performance team to execute in a high volume operational environment
This person must be comfortable with defining, developing and using metrics to drive the vision and manage the business. He/she will head all operations for his/her business unit and will report to the General Manager - Sales.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES -
- Reach and exceed revenue targets (~INR 25Cr/$4M annualised) - The incumbent will have to manage and drive revenue/sales through their city level teams
- Ensure month-on-month top line growth with focus on agent hiring and leads- generation for their city
- Leverage internal tools (CRM, Sales app) to drive efficiencies in operational processes
- Ensure quality assurance methods and metrics are in place for operational excellence
- Report key metrics for their city (Revenue, Productivity metrics etc.) at set frequency
QUALIFICATIONS
Must have:
MBA/PGDBM from Tier I Business School and/or B.Tech. from a Tier I college (IITs, BITS, NITs)
3+ years of work experience with 1+ years managing large teams with operational complexity
Distinctive problem solving skills
Good to have:
- Experience with sales/operations function at an FMCG company
