The Business Development Manager will be responsible for the development of new business in the Regional Food Hub, Abu Dhabi and driving utilization growth. The value creation role spans across both, physical and digital channels. This is a commercial frontline role and the candidate is required to be customer-driven.

The candidate will be responsible for full lifecycle of business development including identification of new clients and opportunities, maintaining oversight of all pursuits, and build efficient solutions to address customer needs, and translating sales strategy to quantifiable results. May need to travel extensively, within UAE/and beyond to nurture new and ongoing business development endeavours.

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for working in conjunction with stakeholders, internal and external. The candidate must be able to work with cross-functional and multi-cultural teams and contribute information and ideas to the strategic planning process.

The candidate must be flexible as the role will develop as the business develops. They must accept that we are building a team and a business and the systems and processes need to be developed.

Responsibilities :

- Identify and create new opportunities for commercial value creation for both, the physical marketplace and the digital market platform - develop and execute sales strategy, establish and maintain new client network.

- Responsible for mapping customer and product supply chains, building efficient products and solutions to disrupt the current supply chains.

- Responsible for full lifecycle of sales and meeting financial targets - from developing prospective client base, identification of an opportunity with a new client, understanding and responding to potential clients' needs and objectives, understanding risks, developing value proposition and solutions, contract negotiation, execution of proposals to onboarding clients.

- Develop comprehensive proposals - development of the product offering, pricing structure, as well as other contract terms and conditions and obtains senior management approvals.

- Initiate and participate in the engagement and relationship with key facilitators and enablers of trade and investment, internally within the company, within UAE and across global markets required to successfully execute sales strategy.

- Strengthen current business ties; coordinate meetings between clients/potential clients and technical or other key individuals involved in making business and/or investment decisions.

- Manage pipeline and forecasting through proper implementation and usage of company tools.

- Keep abreast of overall business trends, particularly the current business climate. Follow up in a timely manner on all possible leads.

- Carry out the necessary market research on emerging markets, potential clients, and competitors, and develop and execute sales presentations to potential clients whenever required.

- Play a key role in implementing business growth and marketing strategies and successfully lead campaigns for expansion into new geographies and new market lines.

- Support the development of digital marketplace.

- Initiate, participate and support the development of various marketing material, local and international events, both online and physical to raise awareness of the company's offering to both new and existing clients in the region.
