Regional Finance Controller - T&D Sector - APAC Region

We are looking for a Regional Finance Controller - APAC for a leading organization in the T&D sector, for their India office in Chennai

P.S. Chartered Accountants may not apply, this role requires an MBA - FINANCE only.

The candidate should be an MBA in Finance management with 15+ years of experience preferably in the manufacturing industry. The candidate will act as a Local Representative of the Corporate functions: Finance, Legal, Tax and IT. Someone who has a data-driven mindset, exposure to the international working environment and a strong exposure to cost accounting and manufacturing operations would be the ideal candidate for this role.

Below are some of the KRAs listed for this role:

Finance:

- Closely work with the SBU Group controller for Management of regional financial controls

- Assist and oversee the financial teams with staffing, training, and improving reporting and analysis.

- Coordinate and oversee the budget process and ensure the accuracy of local books and periodic validation.

- Liaison with local auditors

- Take part in and validate contract reviews for important regional projects.

- Examine sales, margins, and price rises.

- Ascertain that the group strategy plan is being followed up on.

Legal:

- Work with local brokers to coordinate local insurance plans with the group master policy.

- Ensure monitoring and compliance with local laws.

- Co-ordinate legal filings and Co-ordinate eventual significant litigation with Corporate

- Link with local Lawyers consultants

- Should have a strong understanding of internal guidelines and compliance process.

- Support Group legal to identify any business risks and support actions.

Treasury:

- Optimize Working Capital Management

- Cash Flow Management

Tax:

- Ensure compliance and correct filing according to local laws

- Coordinate with Corporate Tax for transfer price implementation

IT:

- Coordinate local needs with IT Group policy and ensure local systems are able to provide consolidated analysis (codification, margin analysis) and convergence.

Qualifications:

- MBA in Finance management.

- 15 plus years of experience with exposure to international working environment.

- Strong exposure to cost accounting and manufacturing operations

- Excellent analytical skills and a strong team player.
