The client is a global MNC and one of the renowned players in the medical imaging space.

Description :

Responsible for Supply Chain and Logistics for the APAC Region. The position directly manages demand planning, warehousing, transportation, Import/ Export Regulatory and Compliance.

- The position works closely with the regional sales, marketing and support teams, along with corporate finance, legal, HR and regulatory teams, and also has primary responsibility for managing regional 3rd party vendor relationships, performance and efficiency.

The responsibilities for this role are:

- Set a vision which supports the regional growth strategy, profitability objectives and customer requirements; and establish the necessary strategic imperatives which enable that vision

- Provide leadership in supporting a quality management system which embraces continuous improvement and employee engagement

- Provide functional strategy to guide the daily execution, performance improvement and career development of the distribution, transportation, demand planning and compliance staff

- Establish and implement regional supply chain strategies to support evolving business requirements and global supply chain strategies in partnership with the Regional General Manager and Strategic Business Unit General Managers

- Establish and manage an operating system to oversee activities that are critical to the short-term and long-term success of the business and achieve key performance indicator goals

- Ensure both owned and 3PL distribution warehouses are sized, designed and staffed properly, in line with future requirements spanning volume, handling, storage, shipping and value-added service

- Evaluate spend and operating performance of manufacturing inbound RAW/ WIP, and inter-company and trade outbound transportation lanes to assure performance is achieving stated goals and control thresholds

- Develop individual employees and teams within the SC&L organisation

Profile :

The right candidate must have :

- Minimum 10 years of experience with at least 7 years of experience handling supply chain of healthcare imaging/healthcare capital equipment space

- Lean/Six Sigma orientation and discipline

- Professional Certifications in Operations, Purchasing or Logistics a plus

- In depth knowledge of key supply chain / logistics processes & current best practices

- Ability to interact and execute at all levels of the company

- Strong purchasing, negotiation, planning & materials knowledge

- Demonstrated track record supporting new product and / or customer introduction (for all aspects of the supply chain)
