Job Purpose: To evaluate complete credit appraisal of SME-Business Enterprise proposals including credit rating of the unrated companies.

Reports to: National Credit Manager(SME)

Duties & Responsibilities:

Credit Assessment

- Perform detailed credit appraisal, field visit of the cases. Co-ordinate for credit risk assessment.

- Assessment of business model including assessment of promoters, risks and suggest mitigations within stipulated TAT

- CAM preparation and analysis of financial statements within desired TAT.

- Present the proposal to the approving authority through Approval channel.

- Manage team of ACMs and Credit Analysts and train them for upskilling.

Credit Rating/Monitoring- To evaluate the risks relating to industry, business, finance and management for the SME loan proposals

- To evaluate the risks relating to industry, business, finance and management for the SME loan proposals

- To effectively use the risk assessment to work out the credit risk score to be further translated to credit rating of the entity.

- To adhere to the various credit risk limits set as per the credit risk policy to maintain the portfolio risks at a manageable level.

- To monitor the SME portfolio in terms of the credit risk policy with review ratings and give feedback to Business teams

Important to know:

- Identify and assess all types of possible risks in SME proposals.

- Detailed credit appraisal to ensure aging within limits.

- Timely response of Credit appraisals

Decision Making Authority:

- Financial powers-revenue expenditure as per budget

- Staff powers-to select, recruit employees and appraise them

- Administration powers-grant leaves to employees.

Competencies:

- Sound Product Knowledge + understanding of finance, the market and the sector.

- Analytical & problem solving approach

- Good communication and networking skills

- Customer Focus is a must.

Qualifications:

- 8+ years of experience in the Regional / Area Credit Manager for an NBFC.

- Having worked in SME lending is a plus
