The present position is for a new bank based in Mumbai.

Qualification : CA/MBA from premier institute

- Experience must be having in Home Loans/LAP-Underwriting for self-employed professionals/business only.

- IT is a zonal role initially handling Maharashtra & Goa and later on complete west zone.

- Person should be doing underwriting for at least a region/zone.

Principal Responsibilities :

- Ensure highest level of portfolio quality for the product/products handled for the region with the best productivity numbers and continuous increasing efficiency of overall operations by improving the teams competence levels

- Monitor and ensure that highest underwriting standards are maintained for the respective region handled

- Adherence to the policy/process laid out by the bank. Ensuring Standardization of process all across the region and also deliver the best in-class TAT across product segments handled.

- Close monitoring on non-starters/Cheque bounce trends and knowing channels and their sourcing patterns

- Highlighting concerns on portfolio (if any) and channels and ensuring remedial measures are taken with all stakeholders

- Highlighting areas of business opportunities and extend support to the business units on the same

- Monitoring all channels and identifying good and bad channels as per sourcing and delinquency trends. Ensuring remedial measures and actions on Bad Channels involving the sourcing channels

- Audit compliance on all aspects stipulated by Head Office and regulatory compliance for the region.

- Interact closely with other functions such as Sales/Operations/Collections/Policy/Product etc. to ensure a smooth day to day functioning of the region.

- Team Management and keeping the entire regional Team motivated

- Underwriting of Loans as per Risk based Levels and ensuring lowest delinquency levels

Required Skills and experience :

- Candidate should have an experience of at-least 8 years in financial underwriting

- Candidate should have good communication and negotiation skills

- Candidate should be high on analytical skills

- Candidate should possess good Team Management Skills
