Reports to: Head Underwriting - Vehicle Loans Location: Various Pan India

1: Job Purpose Statement (Summarise in one/two statements why this job exists and the contribution makes to the overall business of the company).

To evaluate complete credit appraisal of Vehicle Loan proposals including credit assessment, document verification and ensure TAT adherence

2: Duties & Responsibilities (List in the order of importance the duties & responsibilities of this job)

Credit Assessment

- Appraise/Underwrite the loans within defined policy guidelines and accordingly take decisions or recommend to appropriate authority.

- Assess the income, ability, intention and credit behaviour of the applicant and verify documents and reference checks, bureau checks, along with the customer due diligence

- Understanding the nature of business of the applicant(s), assessing the risk associated and ascertaining the revenue stream

- Evaluate all the credit risk parameters and implement measures to mitigate the same

- Prepare the credit approval memo and manage the overall TAT and approval rate.

Credit Monitoring

- Ensure strict adherence to the laid down policy and process

- Ensure portfolio quality and periodic structured reviews of the portfolio

- Periodic monitoring of Exception approvals/Reject analysis and inference.

- Stakeholder Management - Business /Risk/Accounts/Collections

- Ensure Credit Quality and maintain the Credit Cost under control

3: Key Challenges (List the key tasks performed to support the main objectives of the position).

- Identify and assess all types of possible risks in proposals

- Detailed credit appraisal to ensure aging within limits

- Timely response of credit appraisal

- Study different industry segments to suggest new focus areas

4: Decision Making Authority (Describes the type of decisions made alone, those on which the manager must be consulted, those referred to a higher level, and job procedures to be followed).

- Staff powers to select, recruit, in consultation with manager and appraise them

- Administrative powers - to grant leaves

5: List of internal and external stakeholders the role is expected to interact with to execute duties effectively

- Process Heads, Circle Heads, DMs, ABMs

- Bureau

- FI Agencies/FCU agency

- Valuation agency

- Data Science team

- Risk Team

6: Job Requirements (Describe the educational requirements, suggested year and type of experience, nature and extent of skills/abilities required for the desired position).

7: Professional Qualification Knowledge Skills Competencies:
