Regional controller - GBS mining

- Domnic Lewis has been mandated to hire Regional controller - GBS mining for Chennai location

- Assist the FP&A Manager in coordinating, preparing, and analyzing the annual budget and quarterly estimates.

- Oversee the month-end close process by reviewing business results, prepared documents from FSSC, and providing analysis of Net Working Capital elements including WIP, Inventory, AR, and AP.

- Ensure the quality and timely completion of monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial reporting using HFM (Hyperion) and validate the quality of the underlying data prepared by the financial shared service center.

- Share responsibility with local business controllers in leading annual external audits for their respective entities.

- Provide ad hoc analytical support as required, including preparation of financial models to support business cases.

- Develop system reports for managerial reporting and analysis.

- Administer and ensure compliance with corporate policies, IFRS, and local statutory requirements.

- Assist in rolling out new software and upgrades.

- Partner with FSS to address periodic issues and work to improve operational procedures.

- Accounting staff will have either direct reporting or dotted-line reporting to the Financial Controller.

- Ensure department focus on continuous improvement.

Qualifications:

- Degree in Accounting/BSc/MBA or equivalent education.

- Minimum of 5 years' experience as a Controller.

- Self-starter comfortable working in a dynamic environment with evolving roles and responsibilities.

- Advanced Excel knowledge.

- Attention to detail, problem-solving, and strong organizational skills.

- Excellent written, oral, and communication skills.

- Ability to work in a collaborative decision-making environment.

- Strong management and leadership skills.

- Oracle/Hyperion experience is a plus.
