Regional Business Development Manager - Contract Logistics (Warehousing & Distribution)
Job Description for :
Client : A Leading giant in Logistics Industry.
Nature & Scope :
- The Position handles both front line as well as back line functions for acquiring new account and hence is a single-point contact for the customer with the sales department.
- The Positions also goes on field visits along with the Contract Logistics Manager or Consultant - SCCS or the Program Executive as the case be.
- The Position is empowered to decide on offer for both warehousing, VAS and distribution compensation upto pre-determined scope and rate, without further consultation.
- The Position also decides strategy and plan related to conversion of major accounts of competition. The position is also empowered to decide on the location specific Business Promotion.
- The Position will also monitor proper roll-out of contracts which have come on board and will coordinate with various internal customers for hassle free, timely roll-out as per clients expectations. After 3 to 6 months depending on contract complexity, the BDM will hand-over the contract responsibility to the designated program team.
Accountabilities :
Business Development :
- Identify competition activity and strategic service offering
- Impart training and skill development of team
- Achieve new sales revenue (SCS customer)
- MIS to management on monthly basis on performance
- Identify and implement sales promotion campaign's - at least one campaign per quarter
- Identify and implement location specific industry focus and sales strategy
- Develop and identify cross selling to existing customers (Strategic accounts)
- Identify competitor's major accounts and develop conversion strategy
Project Management :
- Ensuring timely roll-out
- Ensuring compliance to service standards
- Defining processes and KPIs

Qualification & Experience :
- Graduate with PG Diploma or Degree in Business Management (Engineers Preferred)
- For related industry personnel
- 5 years selling experience with at least 2 to 3 years of experience in Contract Logistics/ Consulting industry in front-line client management function (sales).
Salary Range: 10 - 12 LPA
