Reference Database Role - Brokerage Firm

A leading US-based Brokerage firm is looking out for Reference Database Operator who would communicate with data users & maintain contacts at external sources, work with developers to improve and design new data handling procedures.

Responsibilities

- Answer questions related to the nature, completeness and correctness of the data and determine whether on-the-fly updates are warranted

- Handle cases when the existing system structure is incomplete, consulting with developers to further generalize and automate

- On-board new data sources and maintain external relationships

- Work closely with developers to integrate new data sets into the existing database structure

- Plan upload protocol and sanity checks to ensure data integrity

- Design error handling procedures

- Write and maintain comprehensive guides to the data for users and developers

Requirements:

- At least three years of experience in the financial industry

- Knowledge of financial products especially Options

- Experience in Data analysis (making reports) and Reconciliation

- Experience in Corporate action

- Experience with US-listed options (OCC) and the biggest European exchanges (e.g. Euronext)
