Job Title : Category Manager   Job Code : 10027  Department : Product   Role Type : Individual Contributor  Reporting to : Director- Product   Location : Bangalore  MINIMUM REQUIRED EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE :   Years of Experience : 3 to 4 years of relevant experience post MBA  ROLE AND RESPONSIBILITIES :   You will be expected to :  - Understand the ground realities of the passenger transport business  - Appreciate the regional nuances and how users react to it  - Ideate on furthering the frontiers of user understanding and shaping user behaviour in our products  - Generate insights by segmenting market by routes, customer types, geography and other criteria.  - Create specific programs and interventions for driving Revenue growth and/or customer experience.  You will be :  - Work closely with Product, Marketing and Supply teams to execute Projects  - Responsible for Revenue targets for specific market or customer segments  - Responsible for jointly driving NPS enhancement projects along with Supply, Product and Ops teams.  - Traveling extensively to understand the perspectives of bus operators, passengers and agents  - Ideating features to bridge the information asymmetry between the operator and the user  You are :  - An expert - market person- from FMCG or telecom with extensive experience and interest in working closely with SMBs  - An able communicator who can capture the pulse of the market and convey it to the product and technology teams  - A people person who can work with the gamut of personalities - from the non-tech-savvy bus operators to pizza-munching geeks  REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES :   - An MBA from Tier-1 B-school  - Ability to manage complex projects, developing and implementing process improvement initiatives.   - Excellent interpersonal, communication and analytical skills.   - Excellent time-management skills with the ability to multi-task and meet multiple timelines.  What do we do :   redBus is the largest OTA in India in transaction volumes (with the exception of the monopolistic IRCTC).
