The candidate shall be responsible for all non - litigation, litigation and corporate legal work related to the Business and its projects.  - Drafting, vetting, approving, negotiating and settling Leave & License Agreement, Lease Agreement, Renewal Agreement, Security Deposit Agreement, Deed of Acknowledgement, Deed of Cancellation, Rectification Deed, Deed of Mortgage, Conducting Agreement, Supplemental Agreement, Service Agreement, Revenue Sharing Agreement, Memorandum of Understanding, Letter of Intent, Indemnity Bond, Declaration, Affidavits, Power of Attorney etc., and other documents relating to the Business Projects.  - To handle the entire documentation from execution of Agreements with a retailer till registration.   - Co-ordination with retailers for entire documentation work and keeping records of all Retailer's Documents.  - Keeping the record of Rent & Deposit paid to all Land Lord/Mall Owners and escalation for the same etc.  - Doing Stamp Duty Valuation, Registration and Adjudication of various Agreement and Conveyance relating to property matters.  - Doing Title Search and Verification of the Title of the Property.  - Handling and reviewing all documentation for banking transactions as such loans and facilities obtain for the Companies as well as group companies.  - Research work related to various legal issues surfacing in the business from time to time.  - Customizing, updating and simplifying the structure for all legal documentation and processes.  - Assisting business with a view to assess risks in new and existing projects and providing sound advice from a legal perspective.  - Coordinating litigation and other matters / cases with external counsels, if required.  - Maintaining all legal documentation, monitoring and ensuring implementation of the business Document Retention Policy  - Ensuring business compliance with all applicable laws and regulations and internal Policies on Integrity and Compliance.  - Assisting business with all new initiatives to improve and streamline legal processes for better efficiency and productivity.  Essential Skills:  - Detailed knowledge of the Transfer of Property Act, State Rent Control Laws, Easement Act, Tenancy laws, Indian Contract Act, National Building Code, Stamp Duty and Registration laws, land acquisition laws and Development control regulations across India.   - Sound knowledge of Arbitration laws, Code of Civil Procedure, Negotiable Instruments Act and Companies Act.  - Sound knowledge of the procedures, rules and regulations followed by the Court of Small Causes, Civil Courts, Magistrate Courts and various tribunals  - Drafting skills should include leave and license agreements, lease deeds, memorandum of understanding, share purchase and transfer agreements, winding-up petitions, Section 138 notices, Section 138 proceedings and statutory applications to government and quasi-judicial authorities.
