Position Title : Recruitment Superintendent

Department : Global Talent Acquisition

Location : Mumbai, India

Reports to : Global Talent Acquisition (GTA) Manager

Position Description :

- The Recruitment Superintendent Sources and recruits high caliber seafarers of all ranks to join the company's vessels.

- Specifically this position drives recruitment and sourcing in India as well as travel extensively to different parts of the country to conduct road shows and Cadet Selection.

- The incumbent will fill requisitions for specific position in accordance with company policy and sub-manning agency agreements with candidates who are competent, qualified and a fit for Company's culture. The scope of this role is national (i.e. India).

Job Responsibilities:

- Develops a recruiting strategy and plan to meet the Company's recruiting needs for high quality seafarers for our vessels.

- Works with internal stakeholders to determine job specific needs and recruits talent in accordance with sub-manning agency agreements, pooling, and other ship specific requirements.

- Promotes client as an employer of choice for seafarers. Liaises with SSML Corporate office on company brand and follows corporate guidelines for same.

- Actively sources qualified candidates through various channels such as job boards, networking, social media, external partnerships, professional associations, recruitment fairs, and other creative solution.

- Creates and implements a Maritime University recruitment program to attract the next generation of seafarers.

- Supports the GTM Manager in supervision of the team, monitoring recruitment targets, time to hire and the quality of candidates.

- Researches and analyzes industry employment and hiring trends, salary/compensation rates and best practices. Makes recommendations to support overall recruiting success and to improve sourcing.

- Develops, monitors and measures recruiting metrics. Meets audit requirements

- Performs other duties as required.
