Role Overview :    Title : Regional Compensation & Benefits Manager Hygiene/Home (South Asia)  Reports to : Corporate C&B Director Hygiene/Home (direct) and Regional HR Director SoA Hygiene/Home (dotted)   C&B Philosophy / Arrangements :   The overriding objective of the RB remuneration policy is to encourage, reinforce and reward the delivery of outstanding shareholder value, in line with the company's focus on outperformance. The principles of the remuneration policy are that they should:   Reflect competitive practice :    - Attract and retain the best talent versus our industry peer group  - Support the long term success of the business  - Align interests of management and shareholders  - High proportion of variable pay for performance in roles which have greatest impact on the company's financial performance  - Meaningful share ownership policy for senior leadership roles  - Management wins only when shareholders win  Keeping it Simple; making it relevant :  - Providing simple pay elements, keeping the number of elements in check, in line with progressive employers across many markets  - Looking to identify and implement class leading benefits and support to employees providing the company with a compelling engagement platform.   The C&B organisation :    The global C&B team is headed by the Group Head of C&B and HRIS, supported by Corporate/BU and Regional Structures. These teams (around 20 members in total) meet regularly as a group via monthly telephone conference calls, and annual face to face meetings, in order to align on key initiatives, share best practices, facilitate the communication and implementation of common standards, and ensure the C&B arrangements remain contemporary and relevant.   Corporate/BU has primary accountability for global C&B philosophy, policies, governance and strategy, and the main focus operationally is on supporting the senior executive population. The Regional C&B leads have primary accountability for inputting to and applying the C&B philosophy, policies, governance and strategy within the countries of their respective regions, and providing primary C&B support to all levels of employe   Role summary :    The Regional C&B Manager provides dedicated C&B support and expertise across the region, and leads or supports projects that may extend across a broader global population   Accountabilities include :   C&B philosophy, strategy and policies :  - Provide expertise on the rationale for, and details of, the global C&B philosophy, strategy and policies. Contribute to their on-going review and development. Manage effective communication of these as required.    C&B Partnering :    - Ensure relevant knowledge of the broader HR and business issues impacting the customer groups in order to be in a position to provide the most effective and pragmatic C&B guidance and advice. Provide effective internal consultancy support to line managers and HR Business Partners, and ensure their adherence to policy guidelines and governance requirements.   External benchmarking :   - Maintain effective external networks to tap into latest thinking and trends in C&B, and their potential application to RB. Manage the annual compensation benchmarking process for employees within the region, and respond effectively to other benchmarking needs as necessary. Ensure intelligent interpretation and recommendations are applied to market data.   Compensation planning :    - Manage the annual base salary review process for employees within the region, liaising as required with Line Managers, and HR Business Partners. Provide guidance, and ensure pay decisions are consistent, equitable and fair.    Annual Performance Plan (APP) :    - Manage the APP process as required for employees within the region. Provide guidance and advice on the rules of the plan, and help ensure associated data integrity and governance requirements are met for primary client groups.   Share plans :    - Provide expertise on the various long-term executive, and all employee, share programs as required. Support the development, implementation and maintenance of these programs, and liaise with Company Secretariat and others as required to ensure effective governance and reporting.    PeopleSoft (MyRB) :    - Demonstrate expertise in intelligent use of the HR information system (currently PeopleSoft); run relevant reports and provide high quality interpretation and analysis of data. Help identify opportunities to continually improve data integrity and usage of the tool.   Transfers :    - Manage the international transfers of all levels of employee in primary client groups. Provide expertise and advice on all transfer related issues.    Contractual issues :    - Manage the generation and maintenance of Top 400 Executive contracts/letters for new hires, promotions, transfers, and terminations and oversee the generation of these for non T400 roles in local language. Partner with HR/C&B contacts to ensure adherence to local legislative requirements, and effective governance around respective roles and responsibilities.   Global Benefits :    - Provide guidance and advice on executive benefits such as the global pension plan (currently administered by AON Hewitt) and global medical plan (currently administered by Cigna). Ensure adherence to local legislative requirements.
