Position: Legal Manager - Compliance  Job Location: Gurgaon  About the role:  The Legal Manager - Compliance will report to the Global Compliance Officer located at CHQ and will have a strong dotted line to the Regional Legal Director for South Asia located in Gurgaon. This position will provide sound legal advice that address business concerns and will help find creative and/or pragmatic solutions to problems that arise while balancing legal risks against business interests.   Responsibilities:  - Responsible for all South Asia compliances (antitrust, anti-bribery, data protection/privacy, whistleblower, trade sanctions), training, annual risk audit, quarterly cross-functional compliance audits, and presenting compliance to the South Asia HH BU leadership team.  - Significant role working with the HH Compliance Officer in CHQ and the Regional Legal Director in Gurgaon in the design and development of the RB compliance program as well as the implementation of the corporate compliance program in South Asia. Compliance Project Management.  - Development of written policies, procedures, practice directions, training and education as well as related communication, monitoring and reporting to the Region and the Corporate Headquarters.  - Assist with monitoring the evolving central, state and industry guidelines affecting the company's overall Regional compliance program and adopting and implementing processes and procedures in order to ensure ongoing compliance.  - Responsible for implementing global policies and procedures, and maintaining compliance scorecard for reporting to the Board. Compliance Monitoring and Reviews.  - Internal Investigations, including Whistle-blower cases for the Region. Timely reporting of the findings and recommendations.   - Travel within the South Asia Region for trainings, investigations, audit as needed; and occasionally to Corporate Headquarters.   Qualifications & Skills:  - Interpersonal skills, intelligence, and the ability to communicate in a clear, concise, and cogent manner are the most important qualifications. Other requirements for this position include:   - LL.B with a total of 5-8 years- PQE that should include exposure to compliance matters (in the consumer products industry is a plus).   - Quick thinking, with the ability to interface effectively with internal and external senior management, solving problems on a real-time basis.  - Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.   - Strong problem solving skills.  - Strong desire to learn the business and function smoothly as part of an interdisciplinary team.  - Ability to function with a minimum of administrative support.
