Position Title: Assistant Manager - Regulatory Affairs (2 to 5 yrs. of Food Industry experience) Reporting to: Senior Manager - Regulatory Affairs Function: R&D Location: Mumbai Other Working Relationship/s: Local & Regional Marketing, Regional R&D, Local & Regional Supply Chain RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES : 1. Stay abreast of, interprets, and communicates existing and /or proposed government Legislations and registration requirements to operations, Business, and R&D disciplines and applies these changes as necessary to facilitate MJN's business plans and long - term goals. 2. Drives regulatory processes to ensure timely filling, registration, approval, and /or renewal of licenses/registration/certifications in accordance with local / regional regulatory requirements. 3. Support in preparing timely responses to the queries/ notices of regulatory agency and interface with regulatory agency to resolve issues/crisis. 4. Partner with Supply chain to ensure compliance with licensing requirements and conditions. Extend necessary support for managing renewal of state-wise licenses and regulatory submissions. 5. Facilitate regulatory agency inspections./support plant team during the regulatory agency inspections. Maintain the records necessary to ensure conformance to the terms and conditions of licenses/registrations. 6. Supports in preparing petition for approval of new ingredients/formulations and follow through the approval process. 7. Serves as a labelling specialist by preparing technical label copy ( TLC) for MJN products ; reviewing, and /or verifying all artwork for accuracy, as expected, and reviewing and /or approving marketing/promo materials (e.g. CME presentations, POS, Print ads, VA, LBLs, Give away, etc) and Digital content (e.g. Website, Social media, SEO, testimonials etc). 8. Carry out Comprehensive Literature survey/Collection & analysis of data to help develop product dossiers/ petitions/scientific substantiations/supporting MJN positions. 9. Conduct orientation of new joinees and refresher trainings for internal customers who needs awareness about regulatory requirements in areas related to their work scope. 10. Assist in preparing standard operating procedures (SOPs)/ regulatory guidelines specific to India operation. 11. Establishes and maintains strong working relationships based on credibility and trust with designated Indian regulatory agencies, colleagues, customers, and internal / external stakeholders. 12. Corporate Reputation - Assists in developing and implementing programs that enhance the company image to all the company's external stakeholders including consumers. Creating a platform to generate publicity about MJI sponsored programs. 13. Serves as a primary representative of /spokesperson for regulatory affairs on assigned project teams. 14. Liaises with industrial associations/external stakeholders to drive MJN positions. 15. Track scientific advances/messages of competitor's products and assess regulatory conformance. Draft responses to customer queries and competition challenges 16. Verify conformance of MJN products at predetermined frequencies/as necessary through laboratories recognised, by regulatory agencies or MJN approved labs. Liaise with the laboratories to investigate issues related to non-conforming products. 17. Supports leadership to objectively facilitate engagements with government agencies with actions that are consistent with the company's Standards of Business Ethics.
