Real Estate Investment Role - Business Development - Real Estate Fund

Our client is a leading institution backed Real Estate Fund. The Institution is one of the top names and has an impressive list of Private Equity Investments across various Real Estate names. We are looking for an Investment Banking or Buy Side Professional from any leading firm for a position at Chennai. The Professional should have excellent academic pedigree as well as Business Development experience

Job Profile:

1] Evaluate Real Estate Companies being considered for investment opportunities (industry analysis, competitive landscape analysis, business model comparisons, etc.)

2] Business Development: Identify companies for investment by analysing databases, research their business, financials and media needs; focus to get deals in well managed companies

3] Identify and analyse investment themes based on market growth, consumer demand, new opportunities, and future trends

4] Participate in due diligence efforts for potential investments (customer interviews, financial modelling, data analysis, management meetings, etc.)

5] Lead interactions with market experts, consultants, lawyers, and other advisors on due diligence and transaction related projects

6] Prepare materials and participate in Investment Committee and other internal and external meetings

7] Lead preparation of external communications including newsletters and website content

8] Any other portfolio company related tasks as is necessary to enhance the value of the company for exit

9] Client Management: Maintain relationship with key position holders of existing and prospective clients and maintain rapport with key internal departments of the company

Candidate Profile:

1] Strong academic credentials from Tier 1 Colleges [2 to 5 years experience]

2] Prior experience in Real Estate Sales or Real Estate Financing/Investing

3] Passion for learning and excitement for working and deal closure

4] Excellent critical thinking, quantitative, and qualitative analytical skills

5] Self-starter with an ability to simultaneously manage and execute on multiple projects

6] Ability to fit into a small, entrepreneurial, and fast-paced work environment

7] Positive attitude a must - should be willing to roll up the sleeves and be a good team player
