Role:

- The role-holder will be responsible for supporting large scale investment projects from initiation to successful implementation. The individual will implement process efficiency requirements in collaboration with line teams and Business Partnership teams, create KPIs to monitor improvements, and work with technology to utilise the capabilities of the backbone.

- Additionally, the individual will be helping drive operations lead initiatives: and attend all appropriate change workgroups across NWM and the RFB to represent Operations

What The Business Does:

- Natwest Markets (NWM) is the wholesale banking division of the RBS Group with branches and trading activities located in numerous worldwide locations but principally the USA, Europe, and Asia.

- The business change partners with COO teams, and delivers agreed strategic objectives and departmental targets by working alongside the senior management. We are responsible for implementing mandatory change, supporting transformation (New platforms, improving existing, connecting to back bone) and improving process efficiency, enabling the operations teams to focus on the delivery of exceptional customer service.

Your Responsibilities:

- Implement and embed operating models and controls required to support ongoing compliance

- Responsible for gathering requirements, create functional specification by liaising between users and technical teams to analyse requirements, design solutions and manage the development and deployment of resulting projects.

- Ensure accurate conversion of the business requirements and functional specifications into technical design and be the subject matter expert on the requirements

- Develop functional change request throughout the project lifecycle, as new requirements or requirement gaps are discovered

- Develop user training guides by combining understanding on the functional specification and knowledge of business usage of the product

- Effective and efficient Business Analysis delivery : Ensure Business Analysis and related deliveries are made as per agreed time and cost (within +/- 5% of target)

- Support continuous improvement: Understand organisational / business goals; apply industry wide standard analysis methodologies / techniques and processes for efficient delivery.

- Meet and improve process standards: Be aware of and follow NWM BA best practices and processes. Evaluate and contribute in making them more robust from individual and /or organisation perspective and suggest improvements.

- Client Focus: Ensure requirements are kept foremost in mind and addressed in all your work. Stakeholder Delivery: Be accountable for your delivery of commitments to stakeholders; build strong relationships

- Provide proactive identification and effective management and/or escalation of conduct risk to deliver key customer outcomes

- Own &manage risks within the business area, ensuring mechanisms are in place to identify, report, manage and mitigate risk within defined risk appetite

- Ensure risk practices and behaviours are consistent with the target risk culture where - risk is simply part of the way we work and think- and work collaboratively with others

- Escalate any breaches, risks or weaknesses in line with policy

- Take responsibility for your role within the performance management process, ensuring that you have appropriate objectives, a robust dialogue with your line manager about your performance, and performance documentation that meets our assurance standards

The Skills That You Will Need:

- Understanding of relevant asset classes Rates/Credit/Equity/FX/Futures markets including vanilla and structured trading businesses ideally earned in a Middle Office/Operations environment.

- Understand the key elements of the front to back processes including other infrastructure groups i.e. Finance, Risk and Control, Operational risk, Technology, Legal and Compliance

- Understanding of risk and control frameworks, including process documentation, control documentation and supervisory frameworks

- Excellent responsiveness, professionalism, gravitas, diplomacy

- Proven ability to build, develop and engage strong relationships with stakeholders

- Proven track record of project delivery within a continuous-improvement driven environment

- Proven experience of influencing internally and externally

- Ability to work within governance to creatively solve business challenges

- Excellent communication, interpersonal and negotiating skills.

- Experience in creating strong partnerships with key stakeholders.

- Self Starter & proactive with determination and persistence to achieve goals.

- Ability to plan and prioritise workload efficiently and effectively.

- Creativity in problem solving and issue resolution .

- Attention to detail, excellent active listening skills, and strong presentation with document writing skills.
