Analytics Consultant

Job description:

Analytics Consultant (ACs) are active participants in creating and delivering solutions for our clients and project teams. ACs leverage their analytic skills to derive insights and solve problems. In particular, ACs employ advanced analytic techniques in areas such as modeling, simulation and optimization.

As a Business Analytics Consultant, you will have opportunities in many areas, such as:

- Expertise in GAP analysis, Requirements Analysis

- Develop advanced statistical and mathematical models that relate sales or marketing activities to financial results

- Simulate the impact of a client’s future operational activities (sales, marketing etc.) on their future real-world results

- Leverage optimization techniques to guide clients and Rate Gain Professional Services Group (RG-PSG) teams to the best decisions

- Design custom analysis tools in applications such as Visual Basic, MS Excel and SPSS

- Synthesize and communicate results to clients and RG-PSG teams

- Gain immediate responsibility for project deliverables

- Take initiative to advance your analytic and problem solving skills and train others at team members

- Develop statistical / revenue models for clients like Online Travel Agents, Hotels, Airlines, Cruise liners and Car rental companies etc.

- Establish revenue management – price intelligence, demand forecasting and competition intelligence process for clients

Qualifications

- RG-PSG welcomes candidates with background in analytic and quantitative coursework. He should have experience in data analytics and keenly interested in solving complex business problems.

- Ideal candidate shall have bachelor's or master's degree in Engineering, Operations Research, Management Science, Applied Mathematics, Statistics or Econometrics.

- In addition he should have strong academic record of analytic and quantitative work, typically demonstrated through consistent top marks in university.

Successful Business Analytics Consultant also has broadly applicable consulting skills such as:

- Knowledge in one of the statistical tool (SPSS preferred)

- High motivation, good work ethic, maturity and personal initiative

- Strong oral and written communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences

- Strong attention to detail, with a quality-focused mindset

- Self-discipline for planning and organizing tasks

- Aptitude for and enjoyment of working in teams

RG-PSG is a global consulting group; fluency in English is mandatory.
