Role overview:

You will be responsible for managing the daily operations of our e-commerce business and ensure that our customers receive an exceptional experience. In order to achieve that, you'll manage a global team who will work closely with 200+ diamond vendors from India, Hong Kong, Belgium & the USA, as well as with our jewelry manufacturers and distribution centers, to ensure that the supply chain is running smoothly.

We're looking for someone who has fantastic people management skills, is a quick learner, and isn't afraid to take on challenges daily. This is a high-impact role that requires excellent leadership and prioritization abilities. We're on a remarkable growth trajectory and as Rare Carat grows, you will too. Responsibilities:

- Manage and build out our global operations team

- Design and implement robust systems

- Refine processes for forward and reverse logistics

- Oversee 2 fulfillment centers, 4 manufacturer, and 200 vendor relationships

- Managing customer escalations from the team and solving logistical issues

- Identify potential delays and blockages before time and come up with solutions to prevent them in future

- Setting and tracking team metrics

- One on one meetings with your direct reports

- Developing a culture of excellence

- Develop and implement standard operating procedures for the returns process and manage reverse logistics

- Build to six sigma reliability: We deal in high value diamonds , so high performance is critical and single mistakes are expensive both financially and in terms of reputation

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in an engineering field; advanced degree is a plus.

- Ex-BCG McKinsey Bain is a plus

- Ex-founder is a plus

- IIT/IIM/ISB is a plus

- Start up experience is a plus

- Knowledge of the diamond industry is a plus

- Have successfully managed significant sized operations team

- Have a high bar for performance

- Can effectively lead a global team with diverse backgrounds

- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

- Proficient in using Excel, PowerPoint and project management tools

- Strong negotiation and conflict resolution skills

- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills

- Strong business acumen and financial literacy to drive cost-effective operations

- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask

-Strong analytical and data-driven decision-making skills

- 5+ years of experience in strategy or operations, of which 3+ are in a manager role

Working Hours

6.30 pm - 2.30 am IST (US EST Timing as the position is fully remote)
