Role Overview: This role is of an analyst in the investment team at Raintree Family Office - primarily focused on growth-stage private equity investments in India. The primary role of the candidate is to take ownership of end-to-end activities related to private-equity investment process. Typical Deliverables - - Develop channels for sourcing transaction opportunities, have initial calls with promoters and bankers - Screen, analyze and diligence transaction opportunities - Develop financial models, conduct scenario analyses and value enterprises - Support the team on transaction closure processes - Follow up with portfolio companies for periodic reporting and review - Developing/co-developing sectoral thesis in niche areas to yield investment opportunities - Supporting the team in tasks that may arise in end-to-end investment and portfolio management processes Educational Background: The candidate should have a masters/MBA degree in finance from a reputed institute 1-2 years of experience in private equity, investment banking, strategic consulting or any field involving work with mixture of analytical and practical nature Key Skills/Abilities: The following traits are valued: - Ability to work independently with a strong sense of ownership - Ability to effectively communicate with CXOs, bankers and other stakeholders - Critical evaluation of businesses - Conduct thorough primary and secondary research to evaluate investment opportunities - Thorough understanding of financial statements - Exposure to ESG, impact and sustainable businesses is desirable - Excellent communication skills (written and spoken) Raintree Family Office is an equal opportunity employer.
