Role : Data Scientist

Job description :

We are currently hiring Data Scientists at Quantta Analytics. At Quantta we are building proprietary algorithms and analytics platforms that deals with large data sets to predict granular insight, oftentimes at N=1 level. It also collaborates with the analytics teams to provide analytical solutions to complex business problems. We are building a team of Data Scientists proficient in designing and developing solutions across domains using advanced statistical techniques.

- Develop sophisticated analytical solutions to solve business problems using advanced statistical methods.

- Your role is to build algorithms in R to analyse large data-sets to predict consumer behaviour and their reaction to stimuli. You will work to build web-scraping tools, assimilate and organize data and build tools to analyse the data.

- Lead analytics engagements to create new insights from predictive statistical modeling activities that deliver value to our clients.

- Develop and implement analytical / statistical methodologies, processes and solutions that integrates diverse methodologies and generate analytical insights.

- Leverage technology to enhance the competitive position of clients by identifying appropriate solutions and/or products and designs help project teams structure.

- Deliver presentations describing the analytical capability of Quantta and how we can help clients improve their business performance.

- Improve the predictability of the models through neural learning

Key skills : Design, develop and implement R&D and pre-product prototype solutions and implementations using off the shelf tools (e.g. R, SAS, SPSS), and software (e.g. Python, Java, C/C++, .NET)

Desired Candidate Profile :

Education : M Tech/ B Tech / MS / PhD in Statistics, Economics, Mathematics or related field from ISI / IIT or equivalent.

In depth knowledge of R and experience in dealing with large structured and unstructured data sets to solve complex business problems.

- 2-10 years Professional experience with real data

- Proficiency with statistical analysis tools (e.g. R, SAS,SPSS)

- Experience with big data tools (e.g., Hadoop, HDFS, Cassandra, Storm) is a plus

- Proficiency with software development technologies (e.g. Python, Java, C/C++, .Net)

- Proficient with relational databases and SQL

- Experience with MapReduce, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Distributed systems is a plus

- Innovative and strong analytical and algorithmic problem solvers.

- Extensive experience solving analytical problems using quantitative approaches (e.g. Bayesian Analysis, Reduced Dimensional Data Representations, and Multi-scale Feature Identification).

- Expert at data visualization and presentation.

- Excellent critical thinking skills, combined with the ability to present your beliefs clearly and compellingly verbally and in written form.
