Job Duties: - Develop a back-testing model to back test and evaluate investment strategies and data vendors - Cleanse, manipulate and analyze large datasets with the intent to conduct bias-free simulations. - Testing alternative data/Signal research to enhance alpha generation capability - Develop analytical tools, using statistical models and data analysis techniques, to maximize alpha extraction. - Develop code to automate processes and end-of-day and month end reports/presentations and ad hoc business requirements. Identify potential areas for automation and carry out continuous improvements to the workflow. - Take ownership of coding quality, test cases and design patterns. Qualifications and Skills: - Bachelors or Master's degree in computer science/statistics/mathematics from IITs/NITs,NSUT/DCE. Basic understanding of equity markets, CFA or equivalent certifications is appreciated. - Strong coding skills in Python/C++ including the data science stack - pandas, numpy, sklearn and an understanding of databases. Basic excel functionality required. - 1-4 years of industry experience in python-based Quant Development / Data Science Roles. - Proficiency in back-testing, simulation, and statistical techniques, mathematical optimization. Solid data-mining and analysis skills, including experience dealing with a large amount of data. - Should be able to work independently from India at odd hours (~2pm - 2am IST). - Result oriented, Hardworking, Self - motivated, High level of integrity, sense of urgency, extreme attention to detail and quality standards. - Strong communication skills and the ability to work in a team.
