Quantitative Analytics Specialist

Leading IT MNC is looking for Quantitative Analytics Specialist for their Business Analytics team

Location: Chennai/Bangalore

Education and Experience

- Post graduate degree in Economics/Statistics/Mathematics/ Similar Quantitative Discipline /MBA from a Premier B-School

- 2-4 years of experience in data modeling and predictive analytics.

- Knowledge and Experience in Quantitative Analysis with software tools & packages like SAS (BASE, Unix, Stat, Eminer, Eguide, Model Manager) /R / SQL is a must.

- Predictive modeling, data mining, deep-dive strategic analysis skills would be added advantage

- Experience in visualisation tools like Tableau /Qlikview / D3 are helpful

Responsibilities

- Work closely with business partners to understand project requirement and implement the same using sound data knowledge and experience

- Extraction of data from appropriate sources in a complex warehousing environment.

- Carry out complex data processing using SAS, Access, or other ETL tools

- Profiling and analysis: Combine in-depth business knowledge, insights, and techniques such as data visualization, cross-tabs, statistical tests, and data mining techniques to identify insights and trends

- Model development: Application of standard and Progressive techniques to identify drivers of business metrics (e.g. campaign response, attrition, propensity to buy, multi-channel marketing).

- Comparison of techniques using validation to build best models using SAS, R.

- Handle multiple projects in parallel with an eye to final packaging or finished deliverables

- (Projects can range from Strategic analysis to Data modelling to Prescriptive analysis.)

- Communication of findings, concerns, ideas, project management elements to multiple stakeholders in an offshore-onshore environment
