An opportunity exists to join the Global Quantitative Research team of one of our Global Investment Banking Client and manage a team of Quantitative Associates.
- The global quantitative research team is primarily responsible for developing and writing quantitative based research from country selection to stock selection.
- The aim of the research is to aid the institutional clients of the investment bank to deliver superior risk adjusted returns.
- Part of the role also involves working closely with the senior leadership in their pursuit of additional business, preparing client pitches, assist pre-sales in responding to RFPs and present the Quant & Analytics capabilities of to prospective clients.
Key Responsibilities :
- Manage the workflow while working with the team of Associates on quant products, long term assignments and client requests.
- Assist in the design and implementation of equity quantitative models and databases.
- Analyze and interpret a wide range of financial and statistical data from a variety of vendor and internal databases for projects and presentations to issuers, investors, both institutional and retail
- Assist in the collection and / or creation of proprietary data sets.
- Fully understand the content, features and functionality of our clients- proprietary research database.
- Assist in the design, maintenance and distribution of customized data screens, be-spoke research and back-tests
- Good understanding of statistical and predictive modelling, and various machine learning algorithms
- Deep understanding of analytics domain across verticals
Key Requisites : MBA Finance. Post Graduate in Mathematics, Statistics, Engineering, Computer Science or similar
Experience :
- 10-15 years of relevant industry experience.
- Strong quantitative background with good analytics exposure.
- A strong understanding of financial accounting and ratio construction is required.
- Knowledge of Capital Market/BFS Analytics
- Experience within an Equity/Fixed Income Research Environment.
- An awareness of financial accounting issues and market operations in various regional markets advantageous.
Skills :
Technical Skills
- Proven track record in managing small team of analysts.
- Knowledge of statistical packages such as R, Matlab, Python, SQL and other programming languages such as VBA.
- Knowledge of relational database structures required
- Superior Microsoft Excel skills.
- Knowledge of vendor platforms (Bloomberg, CapitalIQ, Factset, etc.)
