Job Description:
Purpose of Department
- Change Project Delivery: Overall responsibility for the successful initiation, planning, design, execution, monitoring, controlling and closure of projects
- Execute on various initiatives to create awareness on continuous improvement tools & techniques.
- Lead projects. Work closely with project teams and impart trainings to drive rigour in projects as needed
- Provide MI / project documentation or storyboards as needed
Job Description
- Lead project(s) of medium complexity
- Drive engagement with Operations middle management and with project team
- Ensure progress of projects as per plan and budget
- Ensure proper application of standards, tools & techniques
- Ensure project reviews are done regularly
- Impart Training where needed
- Provide Mentoring support to Projects led by Operations
- Review and validate efficiency saves / process change(s)
Skills/Experience Required
Qualification –Minimum a graduate preferably infinance / accounting domain. A post graduate degree in Finance / Accounting or related stream from a reputed A class institute will be preferred.
Knowledge - Should have fair understanding of :
- Finance processes running over an IT system / ERP system
- High level understanding of risk & controls / compliance
- Process management and process improvement techniques viz. lean six sigma, ISO 9001 etc.
- Excellent Project Management skills
- Strong understanding of financial products and how they impact finance operations and more generically the banking business.
- Ability to work with the Subject Matter Experts (SME’s) to design and develop solutions.
- Team-working and experience working in a project environment and a flexible and adaptable working style to work with multiple stakeholders across multiple geographies.
- Has experience in working in a global environment
- Ability to develop effective working relationships with stakeholders of different seniority and geographical location.
- Strong attention to detail and being solution oriented.
- Strong communication skills and an ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple manner to a global audience.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills with ability to adapt to changing situations and to understand issues quickly.
- A self-starting, independent worker who will take the initiative and progress the development and profile of this role.
- Outstanding verbal and written communications skills.
- Willing to challenge the status quo, be proactive and innovative in driving change.
- Excellent working knowledge of MS related products i.e. PowerPoint, Excel, Access, Sharepoint etc.
- Working knowledge of Banking systems and understanding of relevant regulatory reporting framework preferable.
Experience - Minimum. of 8 to 10 years of experience, demonstrating hands on experience in above areas
Additional Information / Specific Skills (If Any)
- GB/BB certification (preferred)
- PMP / Prince 2 certification (preferred)
