We have an opening for a Quality Head for Manesar. The Quality Head Operations would be reporting to the Managing Director. General information Our client is a manufacturer of products with a significant market share in India, serving most of the known automotive brands in the country. With a presence in several locations and a headcount of approximately 2,500 people they are a large supplier for their products. Following the takeover of the company by a very successful German financial investor in 2020, our client wants to seize the opportunity to turn around the business and realise true organisational change to forge a worldclass supplier. General Duties and Job Responsibilities The Quality Manager has overall responsibility for the quality function across all plant locations. Guarantees the continual compliance of quality standards for products and processes to ensure parts are consistent with established customer standards for reliability, consistency and safety Responsibilities: - Implement Quality strategy to exceed customer expectations for product quality, improving production quality levels and supporting operational excellence which enables the company to compete effectively - Lead the quality function from new product conception through to warranty analysis to ensure a proactive culture so that customers receive the product to the highest standard of quality possible - Interface with customers at various levels on an ongoing basis - Work closely with internal and external key stakeholders regarding technical support of their activities. - Lead the Quality Management system, striving for best in class products and business practices to deliver to the customer's expectations. Maintain procedures and processes to TS16949 - Provide clear leadership and vision, inspire and motivate staff to achieve excellence and mentor them as they develop new skills. - Monitor and report Key Performance Indicators for quality across all plants - Actively lead the reduction of Customer PPMs (Parts Per Million), Warranty, Cost of Quality and in-house scrap and waste alongside Manufacturing/ Engineering and Operations - Ensure strong communication between quality teams across plants to facilitate exchange of information and in order to implement change and improvements - Provide leadership, coordination and coaching to the team - Complete regular performance reviews, and manage any other people issues in conjunction with HR - Prepare the annual Quality budget and forecast Capital Expenditure proposals. Manage the budget from identification to completion of projects Education and Experience : - B.E / B. Tech (or higher) from reputed Institute/University. - 18-20 years of professional experience. - Handling quality function in the automotive Tier 1 industry (experience with MNCs would be an added plus). - Exposure to safety, critical, NVH products is preferred - Interfacing with Automotive OEMs at multiple levels Required Knowledge and Skills : - Knowledge and technical understanding of manufacturing processes. - Knowledge of Rubber, Plastics and Metal will be an added advantage - In depth understanding of quality assurance procedures and relevant standards. - Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities including statistical methods. - Ability to add value, reduce costs and make improvements - Excellent communication, interpersonal and influencing skills - Good relationship management skills with the ability to engage, negotiate and manage key stakeholders - Proven leadership and management skills with the ability to optimise team performance - Self-motivated and able to work well under pressure - Languages (min. requirement): Fluency in English and Hindi.
