The open position is for a candidate who desires to work with government clients and bring about a change in society through the application of emerging technologies to solve important problems.

A successful candidate may be expected to work pro-actively and effectively on multiple client engagements and eventually take ownership of the entire project delivery. This includes having project management skills, technical and/or functional expertise, and commitment to comply with the PwC delivery quality expectation.

This role requires a candidate with strong interpersonal skills, who not only enjoys the challenge of working with other teams but externally with a variety of clients, as well as diverse, senior-Government officials across varied Ministries and PSUs.

Exemplary and recent experience and understanding of the Indian business ecosystem and government initiatives is also important.

The candidate will be recognized as an expert in a technology/functional area related to data, analytics or AI, and he/she will be sought out for advice, inputs and leading the business development stage.

The candidate will need to have excellent communication skills and will have demonstrated consistently the skill and capability in delivering impactful and insightful data analytics and/or AI related projects in the past. He/she will also participate in client meetings and, during the course of a project, will be responsive to client enquiries, eventually leading the delivery engagement.

They will also be expected to contribute to practice or Firm development. This may be adjudged in various ways such as serving as a mentor to other team members, by leading training/development initiatives, contributing to thought leadership papers, assisting other network firms, etc.

Roles and Responsibility

- Deeply understand client expectations, success criteria, and business requirements for analytical projects.

- Driving relevant client insights from data to drive social/ commercial/ financial impact and recommend data-driven action plans

- Develop innovative analytical / machine learning / AI POCs, use cases, and solutions.

- Design and develop standard or custom visualizations, models, and dashboards summarizing data-driven insights and recommendations for review by senior government officials and executives.

- Deliver high quality analytical work product meeting both stated and unstated client expectations for timeliness, accuracy, quality, etc.

- Contribute to business development efforts for data analytics and AI. Support in proposal writing, bid development, client presentations, solution design, technical architecture, etc.

- Multi-task effectively, handling multiple client stakeholders and deliverables.

- Take end to end ownership of analytical project delivery, going the extra mile wherever required to deliver successfully.

Skills

- Must have hands on experience on one or more analytical technology/ tools like R, Python, SAS, Power BI, Tableau, QlikView, Big Data technologies etc. Relevant certification or degree in a relevant quantitative field preferred.

- Hands on experience and excellent conceptual understanding of a variety of statistical and machine learning techniques.

- Structured thinking and ability to find innovative ways to solve analytical problems

- Experience analyzing and designing data-driven projects to deliver social impact or business outcomes.

- Hands-on experience of developing advanced analytics, machine learning or Artificial Intelligence solutions is a must.

- Ability to design clear, appropriate and impactful data visualizations.

- Experienced in creating presentations, dashboards, solving complicated client problems and communicating the precise insights

Desired Candidate Competencies:

- Should have worked on Analytics consulting and implementation projects.

- Understanding and hands-on implementation experience of statistical / analytical methods to enable appropriate application and interpretation of results

- Willingness and ability to handle multiple projects with competing deadlines, working with individuals who have different working styles, and managing challenging expectations.

- Taking ownership of each project by doing what is needed at all phases of the process, anticipating next steps and not waiting to be told what to do.
