The incumbent will work with the client procurement team by supporting the company's tactical and operational initiatives in the Sourcing & Procurement functions. The individual is expected to lead a team of 5 to 10 procurement analysts / category owners and will be accountable for day to day delivery, team management and client communication for the entire team and must perform the following key roles in the capacity of a team lead

Managing Operations:

- Day to day work management including resource & workload allocation

- Quality check & Quality Assurance

- Enable daily/weekly reporting (Internal & Client)

Escalation Layer & Concern Resolution:

- First point of contact for the client

- Identifying root cause for escalation and actioning closure

Continuous improvement & Value Addition

- Drive continuous improvement within team operations

- Drive additional value to client through improvement in client processes

Client Management & Strategic Initiatives

- Manage client leadership team expectations

- Nurture & Drive future collaboration

- Provide oversight to team member in category strategy discussions with client

- Support account manager in account planning and stakeholder review

Job responsibilities of the team the incumbent will lead include the following sourcing and procurement activities - support category tower lead, review RFQs, ensure procedural adherence including legal and independence requirements, ensure data synchronization and sourcing system integration. The role also requires the individual to ensure service level adherence as well as drive client satisfaction by proactively resolving pain areas for the client through innovative solutions

Position Requirements

Knowledge Preferred:

Candidate should demonstrate people leadership skills and proven ability to manage a team of 5- 10 people over an extended time period

Candidates should demonstrate substantial experience and / or knowledge in category sourcing (experience in sourcing third party labour, software solutions, travel services and other direct as well as indirect commodities could be an added bonus) in any of the following areas:

Spend Analysis, RFI/RFQ design and execution - including knowledge of procurement processes, contracting and systems.

Industry experience across cost reduction, category management, sourcing direct/ indirect categories, supplier development, supplier risk management, and procure to pay process transformation is desirable.

Skills Preferred:

The incumbent should be able to demonstrate proven and thorough knowledge /success in leading teams of 5 to 10 individuals and managing execution of end to end sourcing operations (including people and stakeholder management, processes adherence, and technology change adaptation) by:

- Executing activities and working autonomously with minimal direction,

- Communicating effectively (written and verbal) to various situations and audiences,

- Managing and conducting quantitative and qualitative benchmarking and primary and secondary analyses of large and complex data.

Years of Experience:

PwC's MC team currently seeks individuals with experience greater than 6 years and a minimum of 2 years of managing a team. Relevant work experience will be considered during the interviews.

Educational Background:

Mandatory: Undergraduate with 6+ years of experience & Experience of Leading teams

MBA will be an added plus

Experience of working with MS Excel, MS Access, Sourcing tools
