Purplle.com - Financial Analyst

The Financial Analyst will coordinate with all departments for weekly and monthly reports to support the various analytical, planning and reporting needs. The analyst will be expected to be diligent with reports and proficient in excel and power point skills. The analyst should be comfortable working in cross-functional teams. The candidate must have attention to detail and the ability to meet reporting deadlines.

Major work to be covered by the candidate:

- Prepare business reports and support monthly P&L analysis and financial forecasts

- Developing and reporting on financial and operational performance metrics

- Support in weekly/monthly/quarterly financial closing activity in close co-ordination with business and accounting teams

- Assist in Measuring and reporting progress on key goals for the business team in a timely manner

- Perform ad-hoc business analyses, and financial modeling.

- Perform headcount planning and forecasting

- Partnering with various accounting and finance vertical (Accounts Payable/Accounts Receivable) to ensure procedures and controls are routinely applied whist performing accounting and operation.

- Demonstrate appropriate understanding / working knowledge of accounting principles and internal controls, and apply them

- Ensure procedures, and internal controls are in place, documented, and operating as intended.

Basic Qualifications

- Strong English language oral and written skills

- PG with specialization in finance/accounting required (CA, MBA-finance, Masters in Finance)

- Fluency in Microsoft Excel and power point is a must

- 1+ years of relevant finance experience

- Advanced analytical skills and an ability to work independently in a fast-paced and rapidly changing environment

- Strong financial analysis and financial modeling skills
