Purchase Manager - Promotional Items - POP - FMCG

I have an opportunity for the position of Purchase Manager(Promotional Items, POP) into FMCG industry. Kindly find below the detailed job description for the same.

Designation: Purchase Manager (Promotional Items, POP)

Reporting to: General Manager-Purchase

W Exp: 7-16 years

Location: Mumbai.

Desired profile:

1. Candidate must have an experience of minimum 7 years

2. Candidate preferred from FMCG/Telecom/Retail indutry or agencies.

3. Candidate must have an experience of different buying of POP materials as per current market developments, SAP, Vendor Development

Job Responsibilities:

Vendor Management:

1. Negotiation and procurement of POP material based on the inputs given by the marketing department.

2. Coordinating with vendors for generating samples of new products, Development of Vendors for existing and new products, Periodical vendor Audit & Vendor Rating.

3. Obtaining comparable quotes and preparation of Purchase Order based on approved quotations.

4. Interacting with Vendors for timely supply of materials & adherence to all Specifications.

5. Exploring new vendors and negotiating with them.

6. Exploring new ideas and concepts for cost saving by means of outsourcing, optimized packing, reducing freight cost, etc.

7. Monitoring and checking the purchase requisitions.

8. Ensuring timely payments of the vendor.

9. Monitoring the costing of POP Material and Promotional activities.

POP Management:

1. Designing and implementing Promotional activities at national level.

2. Coordinating with Brand Team and Sales team for smooth execution of POP/ Promotional activity.

3. Meeting the deadlines for POP/Promotional activities.

Administration:

1. Design a system to ensure smooth execution of all the marketing activities.

2. Managing the entire system in terms of payments of vendors, Material/Activity happening on time etc.
