We are looking for a Purchase Manager to manage the sourcing of chemicals and packaging materials for our B2C segment in the Chemical Industry. The ideal candidate should have a graduate degree from the Indian Institute of Packaging with 10-15 years of experience in purchasing materials and managing vendors, with specific experience in handling contract manufacturers. The Purchase Manager will be responsible for ensuring the timely and cost-effective procurement of materials while maintaining quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Develop and implement purchasing strategies to ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of chemicals and packaging materials

- Manage the sourcing of raw materials and packaging materials for the B2C segment

- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to identify the needs and requirements for raw materials and packaging materials

- Identify and qualify potential vendors and negotiate contracts and pricing terms

- Develop and maintain relationships with vendors, and evaluate their performance regularly

- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and quality standards related to the procurement of materials

- Monitor inventory levels and manage inventory to ensure adequate supply of materials

- Collaborate with production, quality control, and logistics departments to ensure timely delivery of materials

- Manage the procurement budget, monitor expenses, and identify cost-saving opportunities

Requirements:

- A graduate/PG degree from the Indian Institute of Packaging

- 10-15 years of experience in purchasing materials and managing vendors in the Chemical Industry

- Strong negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills

- Experience in handling contract manufacturers

- Knowledge of chemical raw materials and packaging materials, as well as relevant regulations and quality standards

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and procurement software

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

- Attention to detail and ability to prioritize tasks
