- To assist the Audit Director(s) and Principal Audit Managers in Pru UK&E and PPMS in managing the department budget.

Overall Job Purpose :

Ensure effective day-to-day operation of internal GwIA MI & Support activities reporting directly to the Principal Audit Managers within Pru UK&E GwIA. May require management of multiple projects.

- To support and ensure effective day-to-day operation of internal GwIA activities.

- To work under the direct supervision and guidance of the Director IA / BU PAM's to generally achieve the objectives of the PPMS and UK GwIA functions

Accountabilities/Responsibilities :

Key responsibilities :

A key component of this role is to exploit the capability of existing processes and to maximise the efficiencies and benefits current solutions offer and to maintain a watching brief on emerging trends, internally and externally, to ensure that our current solutions remain relevant and up to date.

Operations :

- Manage GwIA UK and PPMS routine and non-routine MI reporting (including oversight of MI generation across GwIA, data mining, data analysis and report production).

- Support the effective operation and development of GwIA's UK MI with particular focus on GwIA's audit management system

- Support the Principal Audit Managers; contribute to the delivery of the PruUK audit plan.

- Working closely with Group Principal Operations and Technology Managers; and support agreed/defined requirements and processes across GwIA.

- Drive changes and initiatives with the UK and PPMS team will be integral to the end to end development, testing, deployment and training of new processes that underpin them.

- Represent GwIA UK team in support of the GwIA Operations team.

- Conduct data mining and analysis of cleansed populations of data in order to produce MI reports.

- Manage the GwIA MI tools (e.g. GwIA reporting project) in order to improve the presentation of performance data to audit staff and stakeholders.

- Establish and own the necessary processes to monitor and manage data quality within and effective operation of GwIA's audit management system (including oversight of data controls and relationship management with BU Audit teams).

- Support the UK PAM's in GwIA audit planning and half year refresh of the plan.

- Ensure Operations procedures are fully documented (including control processes, responsibility for all procedures not devolved to business teams and static data and audit templates).

- Consider and prioritise change requests when received and coordinate impact assessments as required.

- Co-ordinate, as required, User Acceptance Testing on system developments prior to their deployment to the production environment.

- Should be capable of leveraging the support of a network of GwIA Operations team who have other full-time responsibilities.

- Promote GwIA and the service it provides by building strong and effective working relationships with senior management, other staff and external partners.

- Exposure to different cultures and working styles would be beneficial given the broad Group and UK structure.

PPMS :

- As part of the IA management team, participate in one or more of the following activities under the guidance of Senior Manager/ Head, Internal Audit

- Prepare the annual audit plan in consultation with business line management including clear articulation of specialist audit and resource needs to deliver the annual audit plan provided to Technical Leads.

- Responsible individually and collectively for the scheduling and utilisation of the resources.

- People initiatives such as Colleague Engagement Survey, nominations for R&R and trainings and development

As People Manager, line manage a team within a matrix structure including coaching and mentoring individuals, providing performance feedback, conducting regular 1:1 sessions, conducting development and career progression discussions, cascading relevant information to the team.

This job will involve travel outside India.

Competence / Knowledge / Skills required :

Desirable profile, Educational qualifications and Minimum experience :

- MBA/ Chartered Accountancy/CIA/Post graduate qualification

- At least 10 years relevant post qualification experience /relevant experience, preferably in a financial services company.

Knowledge :

- Practical and theoretical knowledge of business risk and control frameworks

- Good understanding of company processes and related risks

- Good knowledge of the principles of accounting and auditing and their application to the business

- Financial services & audit experience is beneficial.

- Excellent analytical skills required to identify issues and produce recommendations to resolve.

- Experience in consulting desirable but not essential.

- Excellent communication skills with all levels of the organisation, including senior management.

Skills :

- Must be capable of handling multiple projects with challenging deadlines, which calls for strong planning, prioritisation and organisational skills

- Participate in steering committees, planning meetings and/or other bodies as required

- Experience of managing technology solutions and project management experience

- Focussed on delivery and quality

- Continuously monitors performance of self and team to improve performance

- Flexible working style that supports the overall team whilst working independently
