This role will have 3-5 direct reports to begin with good potential to grow fast and will work under a Manager / Sr Manager  Overall Job Purpose :  The role is for the insights & analytics team within the Service Development sphere :  - Deliver the insight, analytics, measurement to achieve NPS leadership & drive profitable growth  - Customer-centric analytics combining customer feedback with operational, behavioural & financial data to give clear direction for change   - Insight used to drive improvement across Pru UK, informing strategy, proposition, journey design, service delivery, process, operational efficiency & culture  - The person needs to possess right blend of business consulting & stakeholder management skills alongside hands - on with BI tools & techniques. This roles requires the person to manage a team of 2-5 analysts & deal with large data sets to derive key insights from them.   - The team this person will be working with will invest heavily on Big data infrastructure and requires to build expertise in Machine learning, NLP.   - The person will help deploy and enable scalable Big Data technologies and infrastructure. This role requires to maintain knowledge and contribute to technical discussions and reviews as an expert in related areas of data science methodologies and help the team grow in this space as a provider. Any experience in setting up these technologies and/or piloting on the Big Data/Data science front will be preferred.  - The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to establish himself/herself as the pioneer/face of Big Data initiatives across Prudential.  Overall Experience :  - 6 - 9+ years of proven experience in Analytics and/or Business Intelligence with 3+ years of relevant experience in Operations & Customer experience Domain (preferred)  - The person should be able to blend different data sets (financial, operational and behavioural data) to generate actionable insights  - The person is expected to do threshold analysis, significance testing and build predictive analysis on NPS data  - The person needs to provide a joined-up view & meaningful insights on key customer issues on a regular basis using data engineering and data science  - Analyse the data to identify customer pain points, process bottlenecks and triggers for intervention before things go wrong  - Ability to work with stakeholders across all levels, understand business objectives and make sure any analysis and findings are aligned to those business objectives  - Any people management experience will be preferred  Day-to-day responsibilities :  Deliver complex regular and ad-hoc analysis :   - Lead on complex analysis requests comes from various business areas to provide insight on specific areas of interest on a regular as well as ad-hoc basis. Requests will need to be scoped out, estimated, delivered with valuable insights and the relationship with the UK stakeholder managed throughout the delivery of the project.   - Ensure maintenance of existing analytics assets within the team : Guide analysts on maintaining the Qlikview/SAS/SPSS based models within the team and enhance them over time   Re-usable analytics assets :   - Support the development of analytics models and tools that are re-usable that become assets for the organisation and help deliver strategic objectives around developing analytics capability in the organisation.  Build quick prototypes (using Qliview/R/Hyphen/Hadoop) : Provide quick PoCs to the business to validate any specific hypotheses and providing quick insights within a very short span of time   Provide Diagnostic CX Analytics :   - Produce insights around customer experience (what the experience is Develop understanding of why is it good or bad- How we improve it). Develop diagnostic and predictive model to analyse the data providing clear recommendations .   Provide Enhanced CX analytics : Apply advanced analytical techniques such as regression modelling, time-series analysis, cluster & factor analysis and segmentation to create different models   - To understand and analyse customer behaviour and help build forecasting modes / propensity models to gain more insights into customer expectations and needs  - To understand customer experience across various channels  - To prioritise the improvement areas for the business  - To forecast upcoming trends on issues and customer needs (e.g. more online service, better training of staff etc.)  Skills required :  Technical Skills :  - NPS SME  - Text Mining (text & speech analytics for surveys)  - Experience of working with large structured & unstructured data sets  - Predictive Modelling  - Story-telling & Visualizing  - Mathematics, Statistics, Machine Learning, Natural Language Processing  - Sentiment Analysis  Languages/Tools :  Essential : Qlikview, Python, Hadoop (Big Data), R, SQL  Preferred : SAS, SPSS, Matlab  Desirable Skills :  - Data warehouse experience  - Knowledge of designing and modelling in QlikView with complex multiple data sources will be preferred  - Insurance industry experience is a plus  Accountabilities/Responsibilities :  Stakeholder Management :  - Manage Stakeholder interactions by having regular updates and growing stakeholder engagement  - Meeting /exceeding quality and timeline expectations for all projects  - Design, plan and scope out projects with stakeholders  - Explain project methodology and project approach to required stakeholders  Project Management and Training :  - Manage end to end deliverables of the project by adhering to timelines, project budgets and stakeholder expectations  - Ensure that the Standard Operating Procedures are followed where applicable and all relevant documents are updated  - Work with team members within D2C team as across analytics team as mentor.  People Management :  - Day-to-day management and oversight for functional teams within Analytics vertical.
