Business Unit Overview: Internal Audit :

Internal Audit independently assesses the firm's internal control structure. We provide assurance that financial reporting is reliable, that there is compliance with applicable laws and regulations and that the firm's operations are effectively controlled.

Internal Audit is organized into global teams of business and technology auditors.

Job Title

Assistant / Deputy Manager- Technology Audit

Reports to

In your role as Principal (IT) Auditor within the Global Audit team, you- ll be reporting into the Head of Audit in PruGlobal Services

Scope of Role

- Business Area

- Group-wide Internal Audit (GwIA)

Key departments/areas of responsibility :

- PruGlobal GwIA

- M&G Investments

This role involves more than 50% of global travel (mostly to the UK)

Job Responsibilities :

For each assigned review you will report to an Audit Manager. You will be expected to:

- Evaluate the adequacy and effectiveness of internal controls relating to risks involved in the relevant areas in accordance with Group Audit Methodology and the established risk assessment framework

- Support the implementation of the Group Audit risk-based methodology including performing coverage of automated business processes and the respective technology environment

- Lead and successfully deliver Technology audits, or participate in integrated Business and Technology audits, both locally and globally

- Generate impactful issues and draft audit reports for review by senior Audit Management with minimal intervention, facilitating issue tracking and validating closure of issues

- Complete all work assigned promptly including ad-hoc projects and special investigations

- Pro-actively develop and maintain professional working relationships with colleagues, the business, and respective support areas. Work in an integrated manner with fellow team members both locally and globally

- Understand the client's marketplace and expectations and continue to develop technical expertise relevant to the industry

Basic Qualifications :

Technical Skills :

- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in IT audits with the clear understanding of IT change management and programme management.

- Possess a degree in Computer Science or Engineering or equivalent Technology audit skills including an understanding of application control risks, with a high-level understanding of databases and operating systems.

- Prior experience of testing automated IT application controls and IT General Controls

- Financial Services knowledge, particularly within Asset Management or Investment Banking is desirable.

- Product knowledge of Equities and Fixed Income and associated technology risks.

- Ability to work effectively across a large audit team, understanding the team's role in the overall strategy of the firm

- Good knowledge of the principles of auditing and their application to the business. Good knowledge of any internal control framework

- Proficient with MS Office Application

- Additional professional certification such as CISA, PRINCE 2, etc. is beneficial

Behavioural Skills :

- Strong organizational skills to take ownership of agreed targets to enable efficient completion of audit projects

- An innovative mindset and the ability to develop ideas which are implemented and have a positive impact.

- Written and verbal communication skills a must; strong interpersonal skills essential. Job requires frequent interaction with technology management.

- Must be able to multitask while managing both time and workload

- Must be highly motivated with strong analytical skills, willing and able to learn new business and system processes quickly

- Able to demonstrate integrity and team spirit by exhibiting ethical behavior in executing the job responsibilities
