Job Title : Analyst

Reports to : Deputy Manager/Manager

Scope of Role : Group Head Office, Prudential UK, Prudential Corporation Asia, M&G, JNL

Business Area :

PPMS - Knowledge Services

Key departments / areas of responsibility : Analytics

Job Dimensions :

Financial : The role has no financial responsibilities.

Non Financial :

This role will be an Individual contributor and will work under a Deputy Manager / Manager

Overall Job Purpose :

The ideal candidate will have strong digital analytics experience, and previous jobs as a Web Analytics professional or equivalent, and will be proven at making site improvements in conversion, acquisition and retention metrics using online analysis tools.

- 2 plus years of overall experience preferably with ecommerce and/or insurance/media/PR based digital analytics experience is preferred with 2+ years of experience in Google Analytics/Site Catalyst/Webtrends

- Hands-on experience in working Google Tag Manager tool

- Good work experience in Javascript language

- Support the analytic needs of a business unit by analyzing web traffic using clickstream tools such as Google Analytics and Adobe Analytics.

- Exhibits high degree of pro-activeness in analyzing customer behavior using available data to influence changes on the website.

- Experience in dashboard creation from Digital data using GA/Site Catalyst etc in combination with Qlikview/Tableau

- Excellent communication skills is must.

The ideal candidate will have the opportunity to establish himself/herself as the face of digital analytics across Prudential.

Delivery :

Typical deliverables would be :

Troubleshooting client's analytics implementation by working on Google Tag Manager

Creating custom JavaScript codes to address client's tagging requirements

Weekly, monthly reports (excel, BI tools, clickstream analytics)

Website behavior and customer experience analysis.

Data consolidation and validation.

Coordinating tags, tracking parameter implementations.

Documentation relating to existing processes and suggestion / presentations for improving those processes.

- Providing on-going quality assurance and testing around the reliability of online analytics data

- Responsibility and Attention to Detail - Take responsibility for delivery of precise and accurate analyses, models, dashboards and reports to tight timescales and work to resolve problems when they occur

- Providing tracking recommendations for analytics

Skills required :

Technical :

- Good years of experience working on JavaScript language

- Extensive experience and knowledge of Google Analytics & Google Tag Manager.

- Advanced level MS Excel knowledge is must

- A knowledge of technical aspects of web analytics and the surrounded technology (search, affiliate, email, social, display, cookies, HTML, JavaScript, sessions)

- Exposure to (Good to have)

eCommerce strategies and sales activity planning.

Digital marketing strategies - SEO/SEM/PR/Social/Affiliate/Adwords

Digital marketing tools: Moz, spyfu etc.

Team / Leadership skills :

- Clear communicator with excellent interpersonal skills, and confident presenting recommendations to senior stakeholders

- Ability to summarise and effectively present complex analytical insights, observations and recommendations to an audience using business language

- Works effectively both independently and as a member of a cross functional team.

- Contribute to improvements in processes (technical or business) used by analysts.

- Drives focused decisions within specific areas and is a key contributor to decisions beyond specific scope of role.

- Ability to identify key needs or gaps and provide leadership to close those gaps.

- Resolves disagreements and conflicts constructively, knows when to involve others.

- Learns from mistakes, takes action to apply the learnings and provides peer and team wide feedback for those in immediate area of focus.

- Identifies and communicates specific personal growth goals for self.
