Looking For Proto Shop Head (R&D) at North India

Job Purpose / Role :

The Head of Proto Shop is responsible for all activities regarding parts delivery, parts manufacturing, vehicle assembly regarding for all proto vehicles within the development stage up to die go.

He ensures that the vehicles are built in time, in quality and in cost referring to the defined specs. In addition he is responsible for all vehicle tear downs that are planned in any benchmarking exercise.

The clear target is to develop and install a future proto build approach that ensures the maturity of product and manufacturing processes before die go.

Key Responsibilities:

The duties are :

- Leading his functional division regarding

a) Parts Logistics

b) Component Manufacturing

c) Vehicle Assembly

d) Proto Management

e) Tear down activities of in house and competition models

f) Quality Management incl. documentation of failures and counter activities.

- To ensure best practice conditions for his direct reporting staff by providing the headcount, budget and investment needed aligned with the agreed projects.

- Functional decision in recruiting new associates.

- Planning and qualification of his direct reports incl. PA.

- Triggering new ideas of improvement.

- Responsible that the prevailing processes and procedures within his section will be complied.
