We have an interesting and challenging opportunity opened up for the role of Senior Manager in Mumbai. This is a leadership role encompassing all the aspects of practice management including business prospecting, client management, execution & implementation. We seek to recruit a bright and a passionate practice lead who has relevant work experience and skills in Capital Markets domain.
- The Senior Manager role is mission critical and requires multi-dimensional capabilities. Senior Managers identify business opportunities within their immediate client's business or across an industry.
- They are responsible for growing existing accounts and lead in attracting new business. They develop a portfolio of business by focusing on high impact opportunities.
- Senior Managers are instrumental in development of new solutions, methodologies and lead internal initiatives. They demonstrate subject-matter and industry expertise (deep understanding of the industry, emerging trends, issues& challenges, key players and leading practices).
- Senior Managers develop contacts within the business community and serve as ambassadors of Protiviti in the market. They build valued relationships with clients and within their peer network.
- Seen as role models, they play a critical role in building a positive learning culture by coaching, mentoring, counselling and developing consulting personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Building client relationships via past associations or by active marketing efforts (a good networking capability is a pre-requisite)
- Prospecting for new business by using the client relationships, getting an active handle on Capital Market regulations to drive business opportunities on a pro-active basis
- Building a thought leadership position by creating contemporary articles on Capital Markets or by being a speaker at leadership forums on contemporary Capital Market topics
- Recruiting bright/talented individuals who can adapt to the rigors of consulting and creating a good execution capability in the practice
- Delivering expected profitability from the practice by placing a sharp focus on the utilization of the staff and the recovery of the projects
- Interacting with multiple Advisory practices to develop cross-selling opportunities, and upsell the Firm's branding
Desired Profile
- Candidates with 8-10 years experience in Capital Markets Industry (SEBI, Stock/ Commodity Exchanges, Broker Dealers, Investment Banks), preferably in risk management, market surveillance, inspection, internal audit, consulting, advisory and/or industry.
- CA (1st attempt preferred) /MBA (from a top tier business school) with a commerce/ CFA/ FRM/ PRM background and with a strong Capital Markets industry focus would be preferred.
- In depth understanding of various Broker-Dealer/ Investment Banking related business processes (i.e. Trading, Clearing & Settlement, Risk Management etc), Enterprise Risk Management and internal control concepts, Capital Market compliance requirements (SEBI, NSE, BSE etc).
- Proven business development skills with ability to procure new business.
- Excellent leadership, interpersonal, project management and client relationship skills.
- Excellent communication, presentation and time management skills.
- Prior management and direct supervisory experience in a team environment required. Well-honed mentoring and people development skills.
- Proven execution skills with sharp focus on quality of deliverables.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite applications.
- Well versed in current trends and developments across Insurance Industry.
- Demonstrates creative thinking and rigorous analysis in solving business problems.
- Able to maintain a professional demeanor in times of high stress. Works well in a team-oriented environment as well as independently.
- Able to multi-task and travel (India and International) as necessary to meet client needs.
