This startup attempts to inject trust, transparency and professionalism in India's rapidly growing real estate sector. Real Estate industry is undergoing a major overall in India. With rising consumerism and younger demographics this industry is set to grow strongly.

About Properji

Properji (www.properji.com) is a combined effort of Ivy League and IIM professionals to inject trust, transparency and total professionalism in property transactions in India. Properji helps first-time home buyers make sound property investments. In addition, it also provides research and advisory services to help make decisions relating to where to buy, when to sell and how to optimize on taxes. Properji.com is a platform where first-time home-buyers come for their real estate needs, which is then fulfilled through Properji’s Residential Property Advisors.

Properji was founded by enthusiastic professionals from IIM, IIT and Wharton. With a rich experience in customer orientation and wide range of experience in Real Estate, IT Consulting, Pharmaceutical, Manufacturing, Non-Profit, Marketing and Consulting in the Big4, we are promoting an entirely new way of making property decisions. This multi-talented team also boasts of adventure enthusiasts who have interests in skydiving, bungee jumping, river rafting, nature enthusiasts, people who can speak 7 languages and also a good proficiency in Spanish and French.

Role Overview

This candidate will directly interface with potential home-buyers to understand their needs, budget and preferences. S/he will then work with Properji’s research team to develop recommendations on suitable properties, arrange a site visit and secure the best deal from the builder keeping buyer’s interest as sacrosanct.

In order to secure the best deal for the buyer, s/he will have to gather intelligence on best units and best price with respect to the chosen property and negotiate the best price, location of the unit and add-ons from the builder. In addition, s/he will also have to provide assistance with agreement signing, home loan, payment and associated formalities.

This role requires deep empathy for customer needs, a very pro-active approach to stay on top of the game, meticulous follow-up to ensure closure, strong relationships in the builder ecosystem and attention to detail.

This role is likely to interest those who like being on the field with the customers and prefer to have an upside based on deal closure targets achieved.

Remuneration will include fixed pay, a generous variable pay linked to results achieved and significant equity in the company.

Qualifications:

1. Education: MBA preferred, but not necessary

2. Experience: 1 to 6 years in property advisory, sales or customer relationship roles with a track record of achieving targets under time pressure

3. Understanding and/or experience in Real Estate buying and selling

4. “Can do” attitude and comfort with working in fast paced, unstructured start-up environment

5. High degree of flexibility and adaptability to evolve one’s role based on changing organizational needs

6. Frugal innovative mindset to do more with limited or no resources
