Job Description: Project Manager (Client Facing)

Location: Mumbai, India Work Schedule: Monday to Friday, 5 days a week (office-based)

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager to join our team in Mumbai. This is an external-facing role that requires strong client engagement and relationship management skills. The ideal candidate will have managing technology/delivery teams and possess excellent client and vendor management abilities.

Job Responsibilities :

1. Lead and manage client projects, ensuring successful delivery within defined scope, budget, and timeline.

2. Serve as the primary point of contact for clients, establishing and maintaining strong relationships, and acting as a trusted advisor.

3. Understand client requirements, objectives, and priorities, and translate them into effective project strategies and plans.

4. Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including development, implementation, and support, to ensure alignment and seamless execution of project activities.

5. Conduct regular meetings and status updates with clients to address concerns, provide progress updates, and manage expectations.

6. Develop a deep understanding of the client's industry and business processes to effectively guide and support project initiatives.

7. Identify and mitigate project risks and issues, proactively addressing any obstacles to ensure successful project outcomes.

8. Monitor project performance metrics, track key milestones, and provide timely reports to clients and senior management.

9. Effectively manage vendor relationships, including contract negotiations, performance evaluations, and issue resolution.

10. Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and market trends to provide strategic guidance and recommendations to clients.

11. Lead and manage technology/delivery teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and oversight to ensure successful project execution.

12. Collaborate with team members to define project roles and responsibilities, allocate resources, and manage workload distribution.

13. Facilitate effective communication and coordination among team members, ensuring clarity of goals, expectations, and deliverables.

14. Evaluate team performance and provide feedback, recognizing achievements and addressing any performance issues in a timely manner.

15. Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that promotes innovation, knowledge sharing, and continuous improvement.

Qualifications and Experience:

1. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Computer Science, Information Technology, Business Administration). A master's degree is a plus.

2. Minimum of 8-10 years of work experience in the service industry, with a strong focus on client and vendor management.

3. 6-8 years of experience in managing technology/delivery teams, providing guidance, mentorship, and oversight.

4. Proven experience in successfully managing client projects, delivering high-quality solutions, and exceeding client expectations.

5. Strong understanding of project management methodologies and tools, such as Agile or Waterfall, and project management certifications (e.g., PMP) are desirable.

6. Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively interact with clients, vendors, and internal stakeholders at all levels.

7. Demonstrated leadership abilities, with the capacity to motivate and inspire cross-functional teams to achieve project goals.

8. Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills, coupled with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects concurrently.

9. Results-oriented mindset, with a focus on delivering measurable business outcomes and ensuring customer satisfaction.

10. Familiarity with the service industry and its dynamics, including client engagement and vendor management.

11. Ability to work independently, take initiative, and adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
