The country program in India focuses on three thematic areas, namely development of value chains (specifically agricultural value chains); development of entrepreneurship (specifically socially relevant businesses) and innovative partnership models for enhancement of livelihood opportunities for the poor. Job Description for Team Leader- Project manager for Soy value chain project

Title: Project Manager

Description:

- TechnoServe is in discussion with a leading agribusiness corporate with a large oil seeds procurement operations globally to set up a soy value chain project in Rajasthan and potentially in other geographies in India. TechnoServe will be setting up a project management unit and work in partnership with the corporate partner to ensure smooth execution of the project.

- The project manager will be responsible for the overall project delivery and day to day management of the project. (S)he will be responsible for building a relevant ecosystem of advisors, experts and ambassadors for the smooth execution of the project.

Requirements:

- Should have at least 6 years of experience in agri value chain, specific experience in Rajasthan and oilseeds sectors related to project management (including stakeholder partnership, community mobilization, team management roles),

- Proven track record / experience of leading a multidisciplinary team, facilitating private sector partnerships on similar programs and delivering results.

- Prior exposure to farmer mobilization, facilitation of farmer organizations, farmer training and extension will be highly desirable

- Should possess excellent analytical skills and, communication skills both written and oral

- Candidate should be flexible to travel extensively

- Knowledge of local language (Hindi) is a must and familiarity with Rajasthan (specifically the south East Rajathan and bordering areas of Madhya Pradesh) is highly desirable

Qualification:

- Should be a post graduate in Agriculture / agri-business Management, rural management, or international development from a reputed institute.
