Project Manager - Product Control IT - Finance IT Business

Our Client is one of the world's largest banking and financial services organization. They are looking for a Head of Product Control IT for their Finance IT Business.

Responsibility will include :

- Understand the direction of Product Control's strategic architecture and seek opportunities to accelerate it

- Manage and provide leadership to the WIRE team

- Prepare high level architecture for distributed P&L calculation and reporting engine

- Prepare design specs for functional & non-functional requirements for Finance and/or Product Control's short and long-term projects.

- Work closely with system analysts, users and other system developers to define and refine data sources and detailed business rules for P&L, Accounting and Regulatory Reporting systems

- Identify system availability requirements and perform dress rehearsals/fail over tests to ensure these requirements are met.

- Develop proof-of-concept or prototypes to help crystallise business rules, processes and functions

- Seek opportunities to make the Finance's business processes more effective and efficient across business lines and regions

- Review trade and market data to diagnose reported P&L issues

- Build good working relationships with other IT departments and the offshore teams

- Liaise with development teams globally

Essentials for the role are :

- Atleast 4 years in Investment Banking IT, overall 12+ years of IT experience

- Degree level education in Software engineering, Computer science or a related discipline

- Excellent experience in managing full life cycle large size reporting projects.

Min 8 years relevant experience in business intelligence solution implementation using Cognos 8.x BI tools,

- Expertise in Cognos framework manager meta data modelling, dimensional models, development of OLAP cubes using Cognos powerplay transformers.

- Good understanding of data warehousing concepts, data warehouse against Oracle.

- Min 4 years of relevant experience on Cognos TM1, TM1 architect, TM1 web,TM1 turbo integrator, TM1 perspectives, components of the TM1 Server, Cognos reporting SQLs, MDX-multi dimensional expression, cube updates and fine tuning.
